THE AUTHORS
Patrick Mahé is a journalist and writer. He was the Editor-in-chief of Paris Match and today
manages Editions du Rocher. As a novelist and writer he has published many books on a
diverse number of topics such as whisky, rock music, television and travel. He is the author
of La Magie du Whisky at Editions du Chêne, Rock made in France, Le Titanic, Ecosse &
Irlande (translated into 3 languages).
David Lefranc is a photographer who has travelled the world for the past 25 years. For the
past 7 years he has specialized in magazine reportages and works for magazines such as
Figaro Magazine, Express magazine, Les Echos, Marie France, Gala etc. He was the
photographer for La Magie du Whisky at Editions du Chêne.
