WARNING: To avoid serious injury or death from electrical shock or fire.
1. DO NOT handle this fixture or try to plug it in when your hands are wet or
damp or when you are standing on a wet or damp surface or in water.
2. This fixture MUST ALWAYS BE USED in accordance with all electrical and
safety codes and ordinances, including the most recent National Electric
Code (NEC) and with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)
Volume 1 on General Industry Standards and interpretations.
3. ALWAYS make certain that the power source conforms to the requirements
on the fixture.
4. ALWAYS disconnect the power before servicing or inspecting the fixture
for any reason.
5. The charging transformer supplied with this unit IS ONLY FOR USE ON
110-120V CIRCUITS.
6. FIXTURE IS NOT WATERPROOF and is not intended for use in showers,
saunas or in potentially wet locations. The entry of moisture into the light
may cause damage and void warranty.
7. This light is intended for use as general lighting. DO NOT charge the light
in the presents of flammable or explosive gases.
8. NEVER operate the light with the clear protective lens removed.
9. NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY INTO LIGHT SOURCE. LEDs are extremely
bright and can damage eyes with prolonged exposure.
10.KEEP AWAY from heating vents, radiators, or other sources of heat.
11.DO NOT dispose of dead battery packs in a fire or by burning. Batteries
may be disposed of in standard municipal waste system.
12.KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

WARNING: UNPLUG UNIT BEFORE PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE.
Remove dirt and grime as soon as it accumulates. Use a soft, damp cloth and
a mild soap, if needed. Be sure not to get the electrical plug wet. NEVER
submerge any part of the Hood Light in any solution to clean it. DO NOT USE
solvents such as gasoline, turpentine, etc., to clean unit.
DRY THOROUGHLY BEFORE PLUGGING BACK INTO OUTLET.
All ALERT products are individually tested and inspected for defects in
material and workmanship before leaving the factory. Should this product
ever fail within ONE YEAR due to faulty workmanship or material, simply
return to the original place of purchase for a replacement. Our ONE YEAR
POLICY is limited to the replacement of the original purchase. No other
liability, responsibility or warranty is expressed or implied, including any
fitness for a particular purpose.

Extend each end of the mounting bracket, on either side to fit the width of the
car hood.
The spring loaded brackets will attach to the hood.
Push the switch at either side of the handle (4) to turn on the light, push once
for half brightness and twice for full brightness. Rotate the tube to aim the light
in any direction.
The bracket can lay on flat surfaces.
The light can be removed from the bracket and hanged by one or two of the
hooks at the base of the handle.
Magnets are built in the base of the handles and can be attached to most
metal surfaces.

INSTALL THE AUTO LIGHT
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPLACE LED ELEMENTS. If properly cared for this
product will provide up to 50,000 hours of use.
ELECTRICAL RATINGS
Transformer
Unwind the charging cord and insert the plug into the charging port on the top
of the light (6).
Plug the transformer into the 110-120 V electrical outlet, the LED charging
indicator will be in red during charging and turns to green when batteries are
fully charged. The charging time is approx. 5 hours.
The light can also be charged with the provided 12V auto accessory adaptor
The light can still be turned ON for use during charging.
Note: to maintain batteries life and best use, it is recommended to charge the
light every three months if the light is not in use.

AVERTISSEMENT : pour éviter des blessures graves ou même la

1. NE PAS manipuler ou essayer de brancher cet appareil si l'on a les mains
mouillées ou humides ou si l'on se tient sur une surface mouillée ou
humide ou dans l'eau.
2. Cet appareil DOIT TOUJOURS ÊTRE UTILISÉ conformément aux codes
de l'électricité et de la sécurité pertinents applicables localement.
3. Il faut TOUJOURS s'assurer que le courant d'alimentation correspond aux
caractéristiques indiquées sur l'appareil.
4. Il faut TOUJOURS débrancher l'appareil avant de l'entretenir ou de
l'inspecter pour une raison quelconque.
5. Le transformateur/chargeur fourni avec cet appareil NE DOIT ÊTRE

6. CET APPAREIL N'EST PAS ÉTANCHE et ne doit pas être utilisé dans les
douches, saunas ou autres endroits pouvant être mouillés. L'infiltration
d'humidité dans l'appareil pourrait l'endommager et annuler la garantie.
7. Cette baladeuse est destinée à fournir de l'éclairage général. NE PAS
charger la baladeuse en présence de gaz explosifs ou inflammables.
8. NE JAMAIS employer l'appareil si la vitre de protection transparente est
absente.
9. NE JAMAIS REGARDER DIRECTEMENT LA SOURCE LUMINEUSE. Les
DEL sont très brillantes et une exposition prolongée peut endommager les
yeux.
10. ÉLOIGNER des sorties de chaleur, des radiateurs et autres sources de
chaleur.
11.NE PAS jeter les bloc-piles morts dans un feu ni les faire brûler. On peut
jeter les piles avec les ordures ménagères ordinaires.

MISE EN PLACE DE LA LAMPE
Sortir les deux crochets du support de manière qu'ils s'accrochent aux
rebords du capot grâce à leur ressort.
Pour allumer la lampe, appuyer sur l'un des interrupteurs incorporés dans les
poignées (4). Appuyer une fois pour l'intensité faible et deux fois pour
l'intensité forte. Faire pivoter le tube pour orienter la lumière.
Le support peut se poser sur une surface plane.
On peut retirer la lampe du support et la suspendre par un ou deux des
crochets encastrés dans la base des poignées.
Les poignées sont munies d'aimants qui s'accrochent à la plupart des
surfaces métalliques.
CHANGEMENT DE LA LAMPE
NE PAS TENTER DE REMPLACER LES DEL. Si I'utilisateur prend soin de
ce produit, il fonctionnera jusqu'a 50,000 heures.

CHARGE DE L'APPAREIL
AVERTISSEMENT : RIEN ne doit recouvrir la baladeuse quand on la
recharge pour éviter qu'elle ne surchauffe. Il est normal que la pile devienne
tiède lors de la recharge.
AVERTISSEMENT : DÉBRANCHER L'APPAREIL AVANT D'EFFECTUER
TOUT ENTRETIEN.
Enlever la saleté et les dépôts dès qu'ils s'accumulent. Employer un chiffon
doux humide et un savon doux, au besoin. Attention de ne pas mouiller la fiche
électrique. NE JAMAIS submerger une partie quelconque de la baladeuse
dans une solution quelconque pour la nettoyer. NE PAS EMPLOYER de
solvants comme de l'essence, de la térébenthine, etc. pour nettoyer l'appareil.

Dérouler le fil du chargeur et insérer la fiche dans la prise au sommet de la
lampe (6).
Brancher le transformateur dans une prise 110-120 V. Le voyant de charge
sera rouge durant la charge et passera au vert quand les batteries seront
complètement chargées. La durée de charge est d'environ 5 heures.
On peut aussi charger la lampe à l'aide de l'adaptateur 12 V pour prise
d'allume-cigarette d'auto fourni. On peut allumer la lampe pendant qu'elle se
charge.
Remarque: pour favoriser la longévité des batteries, il est recommandé de
charger la lampe tous les trois mois si elle ne sert pas.

Les produits Alert sont inspectés et testés individuellement avant de quitter
l'usine. Si ce produit cessait de fonctionner dans L'ANNÉE suivant son achat
à cause d'un défaut de fabrication ou de matière, le retourner au point de
vente pour le faire remplacer. Notre GARANTIE D'UN AN se limite au
