COSTING
Included in the costing for the tour in France :
18 nights three star hotel accommodation (Colmar, Beaune, Grenoble), double or twin-share, plus
one get-together night in Paris
Buffet breakfasts plus one main meal per day (either lunch or dinner depending on programme)
with festive or special meals in Colmar, Strasbourg, Beaune, Grenoble and Annecy
Wine-tastings in Riquewihr, Beaune, Chablis (with cheese-tasting).
Introduction to the wines of Burgundy, presented by the Ecole des Vin de Bourgogne (BIVB in
Beaune), followed by a déjeuner-dégustation bourguignon
River & launch cruises : Colmar, Strasbourg, Annecy
Cooking class on “la cuisine savoyarde” (subject to confirmation, otherwise an alternative
programme will be arranged)
All entries and guided visits as part of the programme : Nancy, Colmar, Strasbourg cathedral & the
“Petite France”, Haut Königsberg, Schweitzer Museum, Mulhouse museums, Citadelle de
Besançon, Arc et Senans, Clos Vougeot, Hospices de Beaune, Bibracte, Abbaye de Fontenay,
Cormatin, Epoisses, Monastère Royal de Brou, Grenoble town, Fine Arts Museum & the
Téléférique, Annecy town, Bell-foundry Paccard, Vercors caves.
Coach transfers to station (Paris & Grenoble).
All coach excursions (Nancy, Strasbourg, Haut Königsberg & Kaysersberg, Obernai & the Route des
Vins d’Alsace, Mulhouse, Besançon Citadelle & Arc et Senans, Routes des Grands Crus de
Bourgogne, historical Burgundy, Annecy, Vercors)
All travel – metro in Paris, Paris-Nancy by TGV, Nancy – Colmar – Beaune - Grenoble by coach,
Grenoble-Paris by TGV.
As with all CPEDERF Language & Culture tours, the only elements which are not included in the
cost of the tour are travel costs to and from France and the second lighter meal of each day.
Otherwise, once in France, all participants really need is their spending money! All participants
however are required to have personal travel, cancellation and medical insurance.
