Né en 1964 à Brooklyn, New York.
Il vit et travaille aux Etats-Unis.
Dans sa lutte pour surmonter son jeunesse difficile et la douleur pour la mort de son
frère, Frank trouvait soulagement dans l’art. Il est devenu un artiste Street-Art, changeant
son prénom en Rek et s’engageant dans la scène Graffiti, dans une période de sa vie où
la crédibilité dans le monde de la rue lui paraissait une nécessite.
Il a en suit transféré ses Graffiti sur la toile et a commencé à chercher des avenues
légales pour ses peintures murales. Au fil des années, son esthétique a évolué à côté de
son développement personnel. Sa formation en dessin technique est se manifeste dans
son style, en particulier dans la technique de réalisation des lettres et contours.
La passion de Rek pour la peinture spray est évidente dans son expérimentation
constante de nouvelles textures et techniques. Il montre une passion pour la brillance
des couleurs, aussi qu’un talent pour les nuances et une grande sensibilité pour les
contrastes.
Du monde souterrain aux galeries, le style urbain de Rek s’est fait jour.

Rek was born in 1964, in Brooklyn, New York.
He lives and works in the United States.
While struggling to overcome a wasted youth and the tragic death of his older brother,
Frank could only find consolation in visual art. He therefore became a graffiti artist, taking
on the name “Rek” and joining the Graffiti underground scene at a time in his life when
street credibility was a valuable commodity and Graffiti was the only righteous mean that
would allow him to force his way into this world.
He later transferred his Graffiti on canvas and began to look for legal venues for his
murals. Over the years, Rek’s aesthetics have developed together with his personal
growth, continuing to evolve with each creative leap he takes. His drafting background is
evident in his technique of lettering and contouring.
Rek’s love for the spray paint medium is unquestionable and noticeable in his neverending process of exploration with textures and different techniques. He shows a passion
for vivid colors, along with a talent for blending and a keen eye for remarkable color
contrasts and fades.
From the subways to the galleries, Rek's urban style was born.
