ARIANESPACE FLIGHT VA228: Intelsat 29e
The Launch Readiness Review (RAL) took place in Kourou on Monday, January 25, 2016
and authorized count-down operations for the Intelsat 29e launch.
On the 1st launch of the year from the Guiana Space center in French Guiana, Arianespace will orbit the satellite Intelsat 29e for the US operator INTELSAT.
It will be launched from the Ariane 5 launch complex N° 3 (ELA3), in Kourou, French Guiana.
Liftoff is planned on Wednesday, January 27, 2016
as early as possible within the following launch window:
> Between 08:20:41.pm and 09:40:24 pm, Kourou time
> Between 06:20:41 pm and 07:40:24 pm, Washington D.C. time
> Between 11:20:41 pm and 00:40:24 am, Universal Time (UTC), on January 28
> Between 00:20:41 am and 01:40:24 am, Paris time, on January 28,
1. TELEPHOTOS
Deux photos HD seront diffusées par e-mail à l’occasion du lancement via A.F.P., REUTER’S, EPA, ASSOCIATED
PRESS, SERVICE DE PRESSE KYODO (via REUTER’S), et en Europe via A.F.P. PHOTO à ANP, ANSA, APA, BELGA,
DPA, EFE, KEYSTONE, LUSA, PRESSEBILD et au Japon via JIJI PRESS.
1.1 Lanceur Ariane 5, (photo de « coucher de soleil ») sur sa table de lancement sur l’ELA 3 à partir de 20
heures, heure de Kourou le 26 janvier (i.e. 00h du matin heure de Paris le 26 janvier 2016).
1.2 Décollage du lanceur Ariane 5 à partir de H0+1h30 le 27 janvier 2016 (i.e. à partir de 00h00 le 28
janvier heure de Paris), en fonction de l’heure effective du décollage.

2. LIVE TV AND EUROVISION COVERAGE
2.1 Live TV coverage:
Arianespace gives free of charge, for TV news purposes only, the live video transmission (or part of it) of the
launch starting H-15 min.

Any requests for use must be formalized in collaboration with our press office before 4 pm. (Paris time) on
January 26, 2016. Arianespace copyright should be mentioned for each use.
The signal is available only for TV and not for video streaming on the Internet. For any use of the video
