Le principal chœur de chambre d’Ottawa nous revient!
Fondateur – le chef de chœur Kevin Reeves a élaboré un répertoire qui nous rappellera
les années de guerre au travers des chansons chantées là-bas et d’extraits de lettres
reçues ici.
Vers la fin avril de l’an dernier, le chœur de chambre a été chaleureusement applaudi
par plus de 80 membres et invités à la fin de la représentation intitulée All That Jazz.
Nous vous invitons à cette toute nouvelle représentation.
Ottawa’s premier chamber choir returns!
Founder – director Kevin Reeves has prepared a repertoire, remembering the war years
with songs heard over there and excerpts of letters received here.
Late April of last year, the chamber choir received a standing ovation from more than 80
members and guests at the end of the program All That Jazz.

Their presence will highlight the valiant soldiers of the Australian and New Zealand
Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought under the flag of Great Britain.
They were so handsome with their distinctive hat!
L’ensemble Seventeen Voyces interprétera l’un de leurs chants patriotiques.
One of their patriotic songs will be interpreted by Seventeen Voyces.
Le 25 avril est la journée de l’ANZAC, journée nationale du souvenir en Australie et
en Nouvelle-Zélande.
April 25 is ANZAC Day, a national day of remembrance in Australia and New
Zealand.
Le major-général (à la retraite) Ernest Creber, membre du Club, décrétera un
moment de silence juste avant le service de la soupe.
Club member, Major General (ret’d) Ernest Creber will lead in a moment of silence
just before the soup is served.
Après le dîner, l’ensemble interprétera des chansons sentimentales et humoristiques
pour votre plus grand plaisir : I’ve Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts; It’s a Long Long
Way to Tipperary; If you were the Only Girl...; l’éternelle jeune Lili Marleen;
Mademoiselle from Armentieres... où vivait la jolie fille, et pas très loin, Roses of
Picardy. Et bien d’autres encore.
After dinner, for your pleasure, sentimental and humourous songs: I’ve Got a Lovely
Bunch of Coconuts; It’s a Long Long Way to Tipperary; If you were the Only Girl...;
the never – growing – old Lili Marleen; Mademoiselle from Armentieres... where the
pretty girl lived; and, not far away, to Picardy for the Roses. There will be many
more.
