P.U.M.A. soft ist ein dauerhaft weichbleibendes Prothesen-Unterfütterungsmaterial auf A-Silikonbasis für partielle -, totale - oder Interims-Prothesen, zur
Kompensation unterschiedlicher Resilienz der Mundschleimhaut, anwendbar
bei einer Stomatitis prothetica, für implantologische -, obturatorische und/oder epithetische Anwendungen sowie als Zahnfleischmaske.
P.U.M.A. soft zeigt in Verbindung mit P.U.M.A. soft ADHESIVE eine ausgezeichnete Langzeithaftung an Prothesen auf Methacrylatbasis und kann
direkt/chairside in der Praxis oder auch indirekt im Labor angewendet werden.
Hinweise zur Anwendung
1. Vorbereiten der Automix-Doppelkartusche
Bei der Erstanwendung von P.U.M.A. soft wird der Verschluß der
Doppelkartusche entfernt und durch eine R-SI-LINE MISCHKANÜLE ersetzt.*
2. Herstellung der Prothesenunterfütterung
Eventuell vorhandenes altes Prothesen-Unterfütterungsmaterial wird von der
Prothese entfernt. Dann wird die Prothese schichtstärkenstark beschliffen und
ggf. eine vestibulärseitige Rille gefräst. Vor der Auftragung des Adhäsivs
P.U.M.A. soft ADHESIVE kann die Oberfläche der Prothese mit der
Monomerflüssigkeit bestrichen werden, mit der die Prothese hergestellt worden ist.
3. Das P.U.M.A. soft ADHESIVE wird dann als dünner Film deckend über die
Stellen der Prothese hinaus aufgepinselt, wo später das ProthesenUnterfütterungsmaterial aufgebracht wird. Das Adhäsiv wird an der Luft ca. 1
min getrocknet.
4a. Direkte Anwendung
Dann wird das automatisch gemischte P.U.M.A. soft auf die Prothese aufgebracht, in einer ca. 2 mm starken Schicht gut verteilt und die Prothese dem
Patienten innerhalb 1 min eingesetzt (Verarbeitungszeit). Dann kann der
Patient aktive und passive Funktionsbewegungen durchführen. Nach ca. 5
min ist das Unterfütterungsmaterial ausgehärtet und die unterfütterte
Prothese kann dem Mund des Patienten entnommen werden.
4b. Indirekte Anwendung
Dann wird das automatisch gemischte P.U.M.A. soft auf die Prothese aufgebracht, in einer ca. 2 mm starken Schicht gut verteilt und die Prothese innerhalb 1 min in den Artikulator/Fixator eingesetzt und auf das Gipsmodell
gesetzt (Verarbeitungszeit). Nach ca. 20 min (Raumtemperatur) kann die
unterfütterte Prothese dem Artikulator/Fixator entnommen werden.
5. Anschließend kann überschüssiges Silikon mithilfe des beiliegenden
Schleifkörpers und/oder eines Skalpells entfernt werden.
6. Die ausschließlich bearbeiteten Stellen können dann mit P.U.M.A. soft
SEAL versiegelt werden. Dazu werden eine äquivalente Anzahl Tropfen SEAL
A und SEAL B in einer Mulde des Mischblocks mit beiliegendem Pinsel
gemischt und aufgepinselt. Die Trocknungszeit beträgt ca. 5 min.
7. Anschließend wird die versiegelte Unterfütterung der Prothese unter
fließenden Wasser erforderlichenfalls mit neutraler Seife gereinigt.
Die Zeitangaben gelten für 23 °C, höhere Temperaturen verkürzen, niedrigere verlängern diese.
Besondere Hinweise zur Anwendung, Haltbarkeit und/oder Lagerung
Die nach der Benutzung gefüllte MISCHKANÜLE dient bis zur nächsten
Applikation als Verschluß der Automix-Doppelkartusche. Die AutomixDoppelkartusche also nicht wieder mit dem Originalverschluß versehen.
*Wichtig: Vor jedem Wechsel der Mischkanüle sollten die Öffnungen der
Doppelkartusche kontrolliert und erforderlichenfalls gereinigt werden.
Die Mindesthaltbarkeit bei Lagerung unter 23 °C beträgt 2 Jahre. Nicht über
25 °C lagern! Eine kühle Lagerung (Kühlschrank) verlängert die Haltbarkeit.
Die Doppelkartusche sollte waagerecht, d. h. liegend gelagert werden.

P.U.M.A. soft is a long-term denture soft liner on vinyl polysiloxane base for
partiell -, total - or temporary dentures, for compensating resiliencies of
mucous membranes, for a stomatitis prothetica, for implantologic -, obturatoric - and epithetic applications.
P.U.M.A. soft shows a long-term adhesion on dentures on methacrylate base
in combination with P.U.M.A. soft ADHESIVE and can be used directly/chairside or indirectly in the lab.
Recommended procedure
1. Preparing the auto-mixing cartridge
First remote the original cap of the P.U.M.A. soft cartridge and screw on the
mixing cannula R-SI-LINE MIXING CANNULA.*
2. Preparation of the denture soft-liner
Existing old denture material should be removed. Then grind off the denture
and place a vestibular groove. In front of the application of the adhesive
P.U.M.A. soft ADHESIVE the surface of the denture can be brushed with the
monomer liquid of the denture base material used to manufacture it.
3. A thin coat of P.U.M.A. soft ADHESIVE will be brushed on the denture
beyond the prepared areas where the soft lining material will be placed. Dry
the adhesive for about 1 min in air.
4a. Direct application
Then apply the automatically mixed P.U.M.A. soft uniformly in a layer of about
2 mm on the denture and insert the denture within 1 min into the mouth of the
patient (working time). Then the patient can carry out active and passive functional excursions. The soft lining material is cured after about 5 min and can
be removed from the mouth of the patient.
4b. Indirect application
Then apply the automatically mixed P.U.M.A. soft uniformly in a layer of about
2 mm on the denture and insert the denture within 1 min into the articulator/
fixator and place it on the model (working time). The soft lining material is
cured and can be removed from the articulator/fixator after about 20 min
(room temperature).
5. Then remove excess silicone with the enclosed grinding instrument and/or
with a scalpel.
6. Then the trimmed areas only can be sealed with P.U.M.A. soft SEAL. Mix
equivalent drops of SEAL A and SEAL B in a trough of the mixing pallet with
an enclosed brush and trim. The time to dry is about 5 min.
7. Then clean the sealed soft-relined denture under floating water if neccessary with neutral soap.
Times mentioned for 23 °C (74 °F). Higher temperatures shortens, lower temperatures prolongs these times.
Special storage and/or handling conditions
The filled MIXING CANNULA functions as a seal until the next application. Do
not re-use the cartridge cap. Closing the cartridge by turning on the original
cap between use could cause cross contamination of basis and catalyst and
thus premature setting.
*Important: Check openings or if neccessary clean them before installation of
a new mixing cannula.
The shelf life is 2 years when stored at 77 °F. Do not store above 77 °F! A cool
storage (refrigerator) prolongs shelf life. Avoid exposure to sunlight. The cartridge should be stored horizontally (lying).

P.U.M.A. soft est un matériau de rebasage toujours malléable sur une base
de silicone A pour des prothèses partielles, totales ou provisoires, qui contribue à compenser les situations de résilience diverse de la muqueuse buccale. Il peut être employé en cas de stomatite prothétique pour des applications
en implantologie, dʼobturation et/ou sur lʼépithélium ainsi que comme masque
gingival.
Associé au P.U.M.A. soft ADHESIVE, P.U.M.A soft présente une remarquable
adhérence durable sur les prothèses à base de méthacrylate de méthyl et
peut être employé directement au poste de soins du cabinet comme indirectement au laboratoire.
Conseils pour lʼutilisation
1. Préparation de la double-cartouche Automix
Lors de la première utilisation de P.U.M.A. soft, le bouchon de la double cartouche est éloigné et remplacé par une R-SI-LINE MISCHKANÜLE.*
2. Fabrication du rebasage de la prothèse
Eloigner tout ancien matériau de rebasage éventuellement présent sur la prothèse. Meuler ensuite la prothèse par épaisseur de couche et le cas échéant
fraiser une rainure dans la zone vestibulaire. Avant lʼapplication de lʼagent
adhésif P.U.M.A. soft ADHESIVE, la surface de la prothèse peut être enduite
dʼun monomère liquide, le même ayant servi à la fabrication de la prothèse.
3. Le P.U.M.A. soft ADHESIVE est alors étalé au pinceau en un film fin couvrant les endroits de la prothèse, où le matériau de rebasage prothétique sera
ensuite appliqué. Lʼagent adhésif sèche ensuite à lʼair ambiant pendant env.
1 min.
4a. Utilisation directe
Le matériau P.U.M.A. soft mélangé automatiquement est appliqué sur la prothèse, réparti uniformément en une couche dʼenv. 2 mm, la prothèse est
ensuite mise dans la bouche du patient dans la minute qui suit (temps de
manipulation). Le patient peut ensuite effectuer des mouvements fonctionnels
actifs ou passifs. Après env. 5 min le matériau de rebasage est durci et la prothèse traitée peut être prélevée de la bouche du patient.
4b. Utilisation indirecte
Le matériau P.U.M.A. soft mélangé automatiquement est appliqué sur la prothèse, réparti uniformément en une couche dʼenv. 2 mm, la prothèse est
ensuite placée dans lʼarticulateur/fixateur sur le modèle en plâtre et dans la
minute qui suit (temps de manipulation). Après env. 20 min (à température
ambiante), la prothèse traitée peut être prélevée de lʼarticulateur/fixateur.
5. La silicone en excédent peut ensuite être éloignée à lʼaide de lʼinstrument
abrasif fourni et/ou dʼun scalpel.
6. Seuls les endroits traités peuvent alors être étanchéifiés avec le P.U.M.A.
soft SEAL. Pour ce faire, mélanger le même nombre de gouttes de SEAL A et
de SEAL B dans une fossette du bloc de mélange et utiliser le pinceau pour
lʼapplication. Le temps de séchage dure env. 5 min.
7. Nettoyer ensuite le rebasage étanchéifié de la prothèse à lʼeau courante, si
nécessaire avec un savon neutre.
Les indications de durée sont valables pour une température extérieure de 23
°C, des températures supérieures réduisent le temps nécessaire, des
températures inférieures le prolonge.
Recommandations spéciales concernant lʼutilisation, la stabilité et/ou la
conservation
La MISCHKANÜLE pleine sert après toute utilisation et jusquʼà la prochaine
application, de bouchon pour la cartouche double Automix. Ne pas refermer
la double cartouche Automix avec le bouchon dʼorigine.
*Important: Avant tout échange de la canule de mélange, vérifier les orifices
de la double cartouche et les nettoyer si nécessaire.
Durée de conservation minimale de 2 ans pour un stockage à une température inférieure à 23 °C. Ne pas conserver à une température supérieure à 25
°C ! En cas de stockage dans un endroit frais (réfrigérateur), la conservation
est prolongée. La double cartouche doit être stockée à lʼhorizontale, cʼest à
dire couchée.

P.U.M.A. soft è un materiale non indurente per la ribasatura morbida di protesi a base di silicone per protesi parziali, totali o provvisorie, per compensare
la diversa resilienza delle mucose orali, utilizzabile in caso di stomatite da protesi, per applicazioni in impianti, otturazioni e/o epitesi, oltre che come
maschera gengivale.
P.U.M.A. soft associato a P.U.M.A. soft ADHESIVE presenta un'ottima adesione a lungo termine alle protesi a base di metacrilati e può essere impiegato sia direttamente (sul paziente) in ambulatorio, che indipendentemente in
laboratorio.
Avvertenze per l'uso
1. Preparazione della doppia cartuccia automix
Al primo impiego, rimuovere il tappo di chiusura dalla doppia cartuccia di
P.U.M.A. e sostituirlo con un puntale di miscelazione R-SI-LINE
MISCHKANÜLE.*
2. Preparazione della ribasatura della protesi
Rimuovere dalla protesi l'eventuale materiale di ribasatura precedente. Quindi
fresare la protesi uno strato alla volta, eventualmente praticando un solco sul
lato vestibolare. Prima di applicare P.U.M.A. soft ADHESIVE si può pennellare la superficie della protesi con il liquido monomerico con cui è stata prodotta la protesi.
3. Quindi stendere con un pennellino uno strato sottile di P.U.M.A. soft ADHESIVE coprendo la protesi al di là dei punti su cui in seguito si applicherà il
materiale di ribasatura. Lasciare asciugare l'adesivo all'aria per 1 min circa.
4a. Applicazione diretta
Applicare quindi sulla protesi uno strato di 2 mm circa di P.U.M.A. soft, distribuendolo accuratamente, e applicare al paziente la protesi entro 1 min (tempo
di lavorazione). Il paziente potrà quindi eseguire movimenti funzionali sia attivi che passivi. Dopo 5 min circa il materiale della ribasatura si è polimerizzato e la protesi ribasata può essere rimossa dalla bocca del paziente.
4b. Applicazione indiretta
Applicare quindi sulla protesi uno strato di 2 mm circa di P.U.M.A. soft, distribuendolo accuratamente, inserire la protesi nell'articolatore/fissatore e porre
sul modello in gesso entro 1 min (tempo di lavorazione). Dopo 20 min circa (a
temperatura ambiente) la protesi ribasata può essere rimossa dall'articolatore/fissatore.
5. Rimuovere il silicone in eccesso servendosi della fresa acclusa e/o con un
bisturi.
6. Si possono poi sigillare con P.U.M.A. soft SEAL i soli punti lavorati. A questo scopo miscelare in uno scodellino del blocco di miscelazione un numero
uguale di gocce di SEAL A e SEAL B con il pennellino allegato e applicare la
miscela. Il tempo di essiccazione è di 5 minuti circa.
7. Quindi lavare sotto acqua corrente la ribasatura sigillata della protesi,
usando un sapone neutro se necessario.
I tempi indicati sono validi per una temperatura di 23 °C. Una temperatura
superiore abbrevia tali tempi, una inferiore li aumenta.
Avvertenze speciali per impiego, conservazione e/o stoccaggio
Il PUNTALE DI MISCELAZIONE pieno dopo l'impiego serve come tappo per
la doppia cartuccia automix fino all'uso successivo. Quindi non si deve riapplicare alla cartuccia automix il tappo originale.
*Importante: prima di ogni sostituzione del puntale, controllare ed eventualmente pulire le aperture della doppia cartuccia.
