Mounting
The extension module is plugged into the PXC00-U system controller or PXC64-U or
PXC128-U automation station.
It is important to follow the instructions supplied with the device, in particular:

• Avoid touching the connector pins (ESD precautions)
• Push the module firmly into position (1.5 mm) and check that it is securely in place
so that the fine contact pins interlock properly.

Engineering
Engineering is carried out with the DESIGO TOOLSET (DTS):
• The project is created with SYSTEM DESIGN (DTS-SD)
• The completed project is exported to DTS-PX
Development environment
• PX SCL is available for free programming on PXC00-U, PXC64-U and PXC128-U
modules fitted with the PXA30-RS… extension module
• The PXA30-RS… extension modules do not support software tools for development
of custom applications. These individual applications must be developed on the
PXE-CRS platform.
Commissioning on the BACnet side
Commissioning on the automation side (BACnet) is carried out with DESIGO
TOOLSET (DTS).
• An address is assigned to the device
• The application (for the coordination of the HVAC functions at the automation level)
and the mapping tables for the field level are downloaded.

Third-party commissioning
Third-party systems are commissioned with the third-party manufacturer’s
commissioning tool.
Siemens Building Technologies provides a tool, PX OPEN Monitor, for the monitoring
and analysis of data traffic on the third-party bus. The connector for this tool is on the
front of the automation station.
Disposal
The device includes electrical and electronic components and must not be disposed of
as domestic waste.
Current local legislation must be observed.
