Violoniste d’origine coréenne, Mi-Sa Yang est née et a grandi à
Osaka, au Japon. Mi-Sa est admise au Conservatoire National
Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSDMP) en
musique de chambre après avoir terminé ses études avec
Olivier Charlier et Jean-Jacques Kantorow en cycle de
Perfectionnement « Violon Concertiste » au CNSMDP.
Mi-Sa a été primée à divers concours internationaux : 1er Prix
au Concours International Yehudi Menuhin pour jeunes
violonistes en 2000, 3e Prix et Prix spécial du jury au Concours
International de Musique de Sendai en 2001, 1er Prix en trio
(piano, violon et violoncelle) au 55e Concours International de
Musique Maria Canals de Barcelone en 2009.
Depuis ses débuts avec orchestre à l’âge de 12 ans au Japon,
elle joue avec de prestigieuses formations (Suk Chamber
Orchestra, London Mozart Players, Sendaï Philharmonic
Orchestra,
Tokyo
Symphony
Orchestra,
New
Japan
Philharmonic, Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, Kyoto Symphony
Orchestra, Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, Century Orchestra
Osaka etc.), en même temps qu’elle se produit en récital. Ses
interprétations lui ont valu une grande estime de la presse et de
la critique.
En mars 2008, elle a fait ses débuts comme soliste en Europe en
interprétant le concerto de Reynaldo Hahn avec l’Orquesta
Ciudad de Granada.
En outre, Mi-Sa Yang a toujours voulu cultiver son talent de
chambriste grâce à de nombreux concerts : Récitals de
printemps organisés par l’Académie Maurice Ravel, Fêtes
musicales en Touraine, La Roque d’Anthéron, Musique de
chambre à Giverny, Festival Musique sur Ciel, Août Musical
Deauville, Festival de Pâques de Deauville, Festival de l’Épau,
Kuhmo Chamber Music en Finlande, La Folle Journée au Japon
(Tokyo), Saison musicale du musée de l’Armée à l’Hôtel
National des Invalides…
Elle a fondé avec Adam Laloum et Victor Julien-Laferrière le
Trio avec piano Les Esprits avec lequel elle se produit au
Théâtre des Champs Elysées, à la Folle Journée du Nantes, au
Théâtre d’Arras, au Théâtre de la Criée à Marseille, à Radio
France dans le cadre de l’émission de Stéphane Goldet « Lettres
Intimes », au Théâtre de Saint-Nazaire, aux Soirées Musicales
de Tours, au Festival de Menton, aux Nuits Musicales du
Morbihan, etc. Leur premier disque est sorti en 2014 sur le label
Mirare.
Depuis
2014,
elle
est
membre
du
Quatuor
Ardeo. Sélectionnées par ECHO "Rising Star" 2014, elles ont
jouée
dans
les plus
prestigieuses salles
européennes
comme le Concertgebouw d’Amsterdam, le
Wiener
Konzerthaus, la Philharmonie de Paris, la Kölner Philharmonie
etc..

Violinist of Korean origin, Mi-Sa Yang was born and raised in
Osaka, Japan. She studied at the Paris National Conservatory
(CNSMDP), first completing a Concert Violinist / Soloist
postgraduate program, under the supervision of Olivier Charlier
and
Jean-Jacques
Kantorow,
before joining the school’s Chamber Music Class.
Mi-Sa has won prizes and awards in various international
competitions. She received the 1st Prize at the Yehudi Menuhin
International Competition for Young Violinists in 2000, and
was awarded the 3rd Prize and Special Jury Prize at the Sendai
International Music Competition in 2001. Mi-Sa also won the
1st Prize in trio (piano, violin and cello) at the 55th edition
of Barcelona’s Maria Canals International Music Competition, in
2009.
Since her orchestral debut performance at the age of 12 in
Japan,
Mi-Sa
has had
the
opportunity
to perform with many prestigious ensembles (such as the Suk
Chamber Orchestra, London Mozart Players, Sendai
Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, New
Japan Philharmonic, Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, Kyoto
Symphony Orchestra, Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, Century
Orchestra Osaka etc.), while also giving frequent solo recitals.
Her widely acclaimed interpretations have earned her the
respect of both the music press and critics.
In March 2008, Mi-Sa made her European debut as a soloist,
playing the Reynaldo Hahn concerto with the City of Granada
Orchestra.
She was also careful to cultivate her talent as a chamber
musician
in numerous performances, held in wellknown venues such as the Spring Recitals of the Maurice Ravel
Academy, Fêtes Musicales en Touraine festival, La Roque
d’Anthéron Festival, Giverny Chamber Music Festival, Musique

Joining forces with Adam Laloum and Victor Julien-Laferrière,
Mi-Sa co-founded the piano-trio Les Esprits, with which she
performed at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Nantes Folle
Journée, Théâtre d’Arras, Marseille Théâtre de la Criée, live on

Goldet’s
program
“Lettres
Intimes”
broadcast on French national radio station Radio France, at the
Théâtre de Saint Nazaire, Tours Soirées Musicales, Menton
Music Festival, or Nuits Musicales du Golfe du Morbihan… The
trio’s first recording was released in 2014, on the Mirarelabel.
In 2014, Mi-Sa Yang became a member of the Ardeo Quartet.
The
ensemble
was nominated
“Rising
Star
2014”
by the European Concert Hall Organization (ECHO), and has
since performed in major European venues such as
the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Vienna Konzerthaus, Philarmo
nie de Paris, Kölner Philharmonie, etc.…
