Pursuant to Article 55, paragraph 1 of the Law on the National Bank

Pursuant to Article 55, paragraph 1 of the Law on the National Bank of
Serbia ("RS Official Gazette", No. 72/2003 and 55/2004), the Governor of
the National Bank of Serbia hereby issues
DECISION
ОN THE ISSUE AND MAIN FEATURES OF 1- AND 2-DINAR COINS
1. The National Bank of Serbia shall issue 1- and 2-dinar coins.
2. Coins referred to in Section 1 hereof shall be made of multilayered
material – low carbon steel core electrochemically coated with a layer of
copper (Cu, 17.5 ± 3.5 µm layer thickness) and an outer layer of brass
(CuZn33, 7.5 ± 1.5 µm layer thickness).
3. Coins referred to in Section 1 hereof shall have the following weight
and diameter:
1) 1-dinar coin – weight of 4.20 g and diameter of 20 mm,
2) 2-dinar coin – weight of 5.05 g and diameter of 22 mm.
Allowed deviation from the weight of each individual coin referred to
in paragraph 1 hereof shall be ±4%.
Allowed deviation from the diameter of each individual coin referred
to in paragraph 1 hereof shall be ±0.15mm.
4 The front (obverse) of the coins referred to in Section 1 hereof is as
follows:
the central motif of the 1-dinar coin is a relief depiction of the
building of the National Bank of Serbia and above it the word "dinar" written
in Latin and Cyrillic letters. On the left from the central image, there is
numeral value of the coin "1", and below the central image - the year of
issue "2009";
– the central motif of the 2-dinar coin is a relief depiction of the
Gracanica monastery and above it the word "dinar" written in Latin and
Cyrillic letters. On the left from the central image, there is numeral value of
the coin "2", and below the central image - the year of issue "2009";
between these two and along the coin edges the word "Gracanica" is
written in a semicircle in Cyrillic letters.

5. The back (reverse) of coins referred to in Section 1 hereof features
as its central motif the Great Coat-of-Arms of the Republic of Serbia. The
text "REPUBLIC OF SERBIA", separated by hyphens, is written above and
around it in Latin and Cyrillic letters. Below the coat-of-arms, "NBS" is
written in the same way as the above; this lettering is mutually separated
by hyphens, whereas it is separated from the lettering "REPUBLIC OF
SERBIA" by dots.
6. The outer edge of coins referred to in Section 1 hereof is divided
into circular arches of 72 degrees which run along the circumference of the
coin with alternating strips of smooth surface and ridges of 0.15 mm in
radius.
7. This Decision shall enter into force one day after its publication in
the "RS Official Gazette".
