Liebe Kundin, lieber Kunde,
unsere Familie stellt seit dem Jahre 1850 Saiten für Musikinstrumente her. Dr. Junger,
Musiksaiten, ist ein kleiner Betrieb, der sich auf die Herstellung von Gitarre- und Lautensaiten
spezialisiert hat. Zu der Erfahrung aus einer über 100 Jahre währenden Tradition gesellte sich auch
immer ein Hang zum Forschen und Experimentieren mit Saiten.
Der jetzige Firmeninhaber hat sich seine pysikalisch-akustischen Kenntnisse im Rahmen eines
Privatstudiums verschafft, und zwar in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Physikern, Akustikern und
Werkstoff-Wissenschaftlern auf den Gebieten Metalle und Kunststoffe. Wir machen für Sie gerne
problemlos Sonderanfertigungen.

desde 1850 nuestra familia produce cuerdas para instrumentos musicales. La empresa Dr.
Junger, cuerdas musicales, es un pequeño establecimiento que se ha especializado en la producción de

El actual propietario de la compañia ha alcanzado sus conocimientos físico-acústicos en estudios
privados mediante estrecha colaboración con físicos, acústicos y científicos de materiales en el campo de

MYSTERION
die neue, elitäre Saite für klassische Gitarre
Der Umspinndraht unserer neuen MYSTERION Saite besteht aus einem äußerst edlen und exklusiven
Sondermetall, welches zu einem biegsamen und elastischen Metalldraht verarbeitet worden ist.
Die Homogenität und Duktilität dieses Metalldrahtes, sein kreisrunder Querschnitt und konstanter
Durchmesser, in Verbindung mit seiner hohen Dichte führen zu einem – im Vergleich zu den mit
versilbertem Kupferdraht umsponnenen Saiten – größeren Klangvolumen.
Dem akustischen Prinzip: Je dünner eine Saite, desto „idealer“ ihr Klang kann hier endlich einmal voll
Rechnung getragen werden und dies wirkt sich entsprechend positiv in einer größeren
Klangergiebigkeit aus. Unsere mit diesem Spezialdraht hergestellten Saiten sind viel dünner als normal
und weisen deshalb eine viel geringere Biegesteife auf, eine der Hauptvoraussetzungen für einen
obertonreichen, harmonischen Klang.
Je geringer nun die Biegesteife, desto geringer ist auch die Teiltonverstimmung und dies bedeutet für die
Saite:
• Es ist eine eine höhere Anzahl an Obertönen vorhanden.
• Die Lage der Obertöne ist harmonischer.
Je geringer die Teiltonverstimmung desto größer ist die Reinheit des Klanges. Klangreinheit und
Klangschönheit sind aber nicht das alleinige Kennzeichen der MYSTERION-Saiten, denn sie lassen sich
auch leichter und angenehmer spielen. Vor allem beim Spielen auf den höheren und hohen Bünden
wird dies als positiv empfunden werden.
Ein weiterer, nicht zu unterschätzender Effekt dürfte darin bestehen, daß diese Saiten aufgrund ihres
viel feineren Umspinndrahtes zur Schonung der Fingernägel und Fingerkuppen beitragen.

Strings for children and youth guitar
These strings have been developed specially for children and smaller size guitars. The
right tensile force must be chosen for each vibrating length to ensure good sound and
ease of playing. We design and manufacture them specially to aid the beginner in his early,
more difficult time of learning to play the guitar. You will be surprised by the good sound of
these strings despite of their smaller vibrating length.

Diskantsaitenvergleich Nylon und Carbon
Nachfolgend werden Diskantsaiten aus blankem Nylon (Polyamid) mit blanken Carbonsaiten (PVDF)
bei mittlerer Saitenspannung für klassische Gitarre mit Mensuren von 64 cm bis 66 cm verglichen. Die
Untersuchung ergibt einen signifikanten Unterschied bezüglich Steifigkeit und Teiltonverstimmung.
Die Steifigkeit der Nylonsaiten ist etwa fünfmal so groß wie die der Carbonsaiten. Aus der höheren
Biegesteife der Nylonsaiten resultiert wiederum eine größere Teiltonverstimmung, da sich steifere
Saiten eben nicht so gut in Schwingung versetzen lassen wie weniger steife. Vergleicht man nun die
Teiltonverstimmung der Nylon-e´-Saite mit der der Carbon-e´-Saite usw., so stellt man fest, daß die
Verstimmung der Partialtöne bei den Nylonsaiten etwa fünfmal so hoch ist wie die bei den
Carbonsaiten.

Harmonischer Verlauf der Teiltonreihe
Genau wie bei den Nylonsaiten steigt die Obertonverstimmung von der e´- , über die h- und g-Saite auch
bei den Carbonsaiten mit zunehmendem Saitendurchmesser an, und zwar um jeweils etwa das
Dreifache. Bei den Carbonsaiten findet dieser Anstieg jedoch auf einem wesentlich niedrigeren Niveau
statt. So verstimmt sich zum Beispiel schon der 6. Teilton der blanken Nylon-g-Saite gegenüber ihrer
„Kollegin“ aus Carbon etwa viermal so stark.
Hier kommt den PVF-Saiten ihr, auf ihrer höheren Dichte beruhender, geringerer Durchmesser zugute.
Dies bedeutet, daß Nylondsaiten generell dicker sein müssen, um bei gleicher Saitenzugkraft und
gleicher Mensur die gleiche Tonhöhe zu erreichen.
Wir erinnern uns bei dieser Gelegenheit an den deutschen Physiker und Mediziner Hermann v.
Helmholtz, der bereits im Jahre 1877 geschrieben hat: „Endlich hat .... auch die Dicke der Saiten Einfluß
auf die Klangfarbe. Es können sich namentlich auf sehr steifen Saiten keine sehr hohen Obertöne bilden,
weil solche Saiten nicht leicht in sehr kurzen Abtheilungen entgegengesetzte Biegungen annehmen.“ 1
Besonders für den Hersteller von Musikinstrumenten ist es wichtig, darauf hinzuweisen, daß die
Intonationszugabe bei Diskantsaiten aus Carbon unterschiedlich zu der bei Nylonsaiten ist. Unter
Intonationszugabe versteht man die Längenänderung der Mensurlänge, um zu gewährleisten, daß bei
Herunterdrücken der Saite auf den 12. Bund wirklich eine Frequenzverdoppelung, d.h. eine reine
Oktave, entsteht.
Bei den Carbonsaiten beträgt diese Intonationszulage erheblich weniger als bei den Nylonsaiten,
nämlich etwa nur ein Drittel des bisher üblichen Wertes.
