 Communiqué de presse, Cannes #1 Cine-­‐Regio sets new records at Cannes Film Festival 2012 35 films supported by members of Cine-­‐Regio are selected in the official & sidebar sections of this year Cannes festival Programme. 8 out of the films ar selected for Main Competition. Charlotte Appelgren, General Secretary of Cine-­‐Regio: “it is a pleasure to announce that at this year Cannes Film Festival 35 films – incl. 8 films in Main Competition – has been supported by Cine-­‐Regio members. This means that 35 films are connected and have a relation to the European regions. This reflects our objectives and state the importance of the work of Cine-­‐Regio that acts as a lobby and network organisation encouraging cross-­‐border and interregional co-­‐
