Summer Social Event: Family BBQ
Our first social event was a family BBQ, held Sunday, September 9, 2007, at
Britannia Park. The goal of this event was to bring as many members and their
families as possible out to an event, for a fun-filled day of networking and
activities. Approximately 90 people enjoyed this activity and took the time to
meet and greet members, family and friends for the first family activity of your
Branch. To see photos of the BBQ that are full of great memories for the
participating adults and children, please visit the OWB page on the PIPSC Web
site. Face painting, treasure hunting, water balloons and amazing balloon
artworks were very popular at the event.
Next Social Event: Winter 2007-2008 and Beyond
Please email us any suggestions that you have for upcoming events. Some
potential future events that we have considered are: BBQ, golf tournament,
mini putt, lunch-and-learns, dinner-and-learns, and meet-and-greets. As well,
please take the time out to fill in the survey at the back of this newsletter, so
that we can better understand what you are looking for out of your union. We
are looking forward to hearing from you.
