To the Participants of the VII Coloquio de Cartografia para Criancas at Vitoria, Brasil
I am writing you as president of the International Cartographic Association (ICA). The context
of cartography and children is of high importance to the ICA. Since years ICA has established
a very successful Commission on Cartography for Children, currently chaired by Dr Jesus
Reyes, as we think, that this topic is highly relevant and needs international cooperation.
It is with great interest and pleasure that I learn to know about the VII Coloquio de Cartografia
para Criancas at Vitoria, Brasil. I am sure, that this will be a wonderful event with interesting
presentations, discussions and new ideas.
I would like to submit my special greetings to all participants of this conference. I would like
to also invite all of you to join the global family of Cartography within the International
Cartographic Association by getting connected for instance to one of our commission or by
