Género y postmodernidad en Puerto Rico: la obra plural de

CONVOCATORIA
El Centre de recherche brétonne et celtique y el Institut des Amériques les invitan a someter
sus trabajos científicos al congreso Género y postmodernidad: la obra plural de Rosario Ferré
Rosario Ferré (Ponce, Puerto Rico, 1938) es una escritora consagrada por una
producción literaria diversa, que abarca un gran panel de géneros (ensayo, poesía,
cuento infantil, novela, relato breve). Pero más allá de su valor intrínseco, esta obra
plural cataliza por sí sola las mutaciones operadas en el campo literario puertorriqueño y
latinoamericano a partir del decenio 1960. Una actividad artística ininterrumpida, tanto
en el campo de la creación como de la crítica, hacen de esta autora la representante
ineludible del panorama literario insular y continental de los últimos cuarenta años. El
objetivo de este congreso es explorar las diferentes facetas de su producción múltiple a
partir de los siguientes ejes temáticos
1. El contexto de escritura: la prensa literaria puertorriqueña en los años 60.
2. Feminismo y escritura en Puerto Rico. Cuestiones de género en la obra de Rosario
Ferré.
3. La difícil convivencia de los idiomas en contacto: bilingüismo, traducción, autotraducción en la obra de Rosario Ferré y en la literatura puertorriqueña postcolonial.
MODALIDADES DE PARTICIPACIÓN:
- Los proyectos de comunicación (un resumen de 2000 signos, espacios incluidos) deberán
enviarse antes del 31 de enero de 2013 a la dirección electrónica: [email protected]
31 de enero de 2013: fecha-límite de entrega de resúmenes.
28 de febrero de 2013: notificación de aceptación de las ponencias.
15 de marzo de 2013:difusión del programa definitivo
-Gastos de inscripción de los participantes: 115 euros (comidas del Congreso y publicación
de las actas).

APPEL À COMMUNICATIONS
Rosario Ferré (Ponce, Porto Rico, 1938) est consacrée par une production régulière et
diverse embrassant un grand panel de genres (essai, poésie, conte pour enfant, roman
et nouvelle, critique littéraire). Mais au-delà de sa valeur intrinsèque, son œuvre plurielle
catalyse à elle seule les mutations opérées dans le champ littéraire portoricain et latinoaméricain à partir de la décennie 1960. Quarante ans d’activité littéraire et critique font
de cette auteure une représentante incontournable dans l’évolution culturelle insulaire et
continentale. L’objectif de ce congrès est d’explorer les différentes facettes de cette
production multiple et diverse à partir des axes suivants :
1. Le contexte d’écriture : la presse littéraire portoricaine dans les années 60.
2. Question(s) de genre dans l’œuvre de Rosario Ferré. Féminisme et écriture dans
le Porto Rico des années 1960.
3. La difficile cohabitation des langues en contact : bilinguisme, traduction, autotraduction dans l’œuvre de Rosario Ferré et dans la littérature portoricaine
postcoloniale.

28 février 2013 : notification d’acceptation des communications.
15 mars 2013 : diffusion du programme définitif.

The Centre de recherche brétonne et celtique and the Institut des Amériques calls for
submissions of scientific research papers for the Congress on Gender and Postmodernism: the
multifacted work of Rosario Ferré
Rosario Ferré (Ponce, Puerto Rico, 1938) is a consummate writer renowned for her
diverse literary production, which covers a wide range of genres (essays, poetry,
children’s stories, novels, short stories). But beyond its inherent value, this multifacted
work catalyzes the mutations undergone in the Puerto Rican and Latin American literary
field from the 1960s on. This author’s uninterrupted artistic activity, both in the field of
creating and reviewing, have made her an essential representative of the insular and
continental literary scene of these past forty years. The aim of this Congress is to explore
the different facets of a multifacted production based on the following themes:
1. The writing context: the Puerto Rican literary press in the 1960s.
2. Feminism and writing in Puerto Rico. Questions of gender in the work of Rosario Ferré
3. The difficult coexistence of languages in contact with one another: bilingualism,
translation, self-translation in the work of Rosario Ferré and in post-colonial Puerto Rican
literature

- Summaries of papers (a summary of 2000 signs, spaces included) should be sent before
