POWDERED OXIDISING GREYING AGENT FOR OAK
PARQUET FLOORING AND TANNIC WOODS

INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION
A single application oxidises wood, achieving a grey patina on oak and tannic
woods, red oak and American white oak.
FEATURES
Water-mixable. Many shades possible. Can be mixed at 150g/l, 100g/l or 50g/l, or at any other
concentration to achieve the results desired.
PREPARATION
New parquet: Wood must be sanded or brushed or raw and dust-free.
Old parquet: Wood must be sanded and dust-free, with no traces of varnish or wax.
APPLICATION
Thoroughly mix 150 g of powder (three heaped measures) into 1 litre of water. Allow to stand for 5 to 10
minutes. Spray abundantly, by pump or machine. For more even application, add a small agitator to the
system's supply tank. This product may be applied at any temperature from 0 to 30°C. It may be tunnel
dried with no colour change. After drying, remove the layer of white dust with a green scourer or a rotary
floor machine with a PAD or brush, then vacuum away the dust.
Before removal of the powder, it is possible to apply neat or dilute 0844, which will give other colours
after drying. Having removed the dust layer (As above).

These different options are available:

Isolating base coat 0219, for grey parquets to be varnished using any water-based
varnish, with no change to colours.
Matte water-based protective oil 0218. Invisible, does not change the colours
achieved by oxidisation and is not stained by water.
Satin finish water-based protective oil 0217. Does not change the colours achieved
by oxidisation and gives the parquet a lustre. Will not be stained by water.
Invisible matte water-based varnish 0220. Provides parquet with high performance
protection.
Trial applications are needed before applying to the workpiece, to master the technique for
applying these products and achieving the desired result.
Wax: After application of the isolating base coat, or without base coat 0219, brush apply
colourless solvent paste wax 0052 or colourless water-based wax 0244.
Coverage: Approx. 7 to 9 m2 per litre, depending on porosity of wood.
Pack sizes: 600 g (= 4 L) – 5 kg (= 33 L) – 30 kg (= 200 L) at 150g/l and more, depending on
concentration.
