cadets and above only. Normal training for all will start

The 75th Anniversary Air Cadets League Poster Contest
submission date has been extended to 15 Sep 15.
Cadets are to submit their posters to the Squadron
Sponsoring Committee no later than Tuesday 15 Sep.

WELCOME BACK
I would like to welcome back all staff, volunteers, and
cadets of 51 Sqn. I hope that you had a fun and
rewarding summer, whether it involved summer training,
family trips, or simple relaxation time. As the training
year is set to begin, I would like you all to think about
what it is you would like to get out of your cadet
experience this year, and how you can contribute to
make 51 Squadron a better place. Take a look at your
uniforms, get a haircut, and get ready for things to swing
back in to gear quickly!
BIENVENUE
Je tiens à souhaiter bon retour à tout le personnel, aux
bénévoles et aux cadets de l’Esc 51. J'espère que vous
avez eu un été amusant et gratifiant, qu'il s'agissait
d'entraînement estival, de voyages en famille ou simplement
de moments de détente. Comme l'année de formation est
prête à commencer, je vous enjoins tous à penser à ce que
vous souhaitez de votre expérience de cadet cette année et
comment vous pouvez contribuer à améliorer l’Esc 51.
Jetez un œil à vos uniformes, faites-vous couper les
cheveux et préparez-vous pour un départ en trombe.

20 SEP – ARMY RUN
51 Squadron will be leading a Cheering Station along
with any volunteer parents. Maximum attendance by
all cadets. C-2B uniform (shirt, no tie). Details to
follow.

20 SEP - BATTLE OF BRITAIN PARADE
The Battle of Britain parade honours and
commemorates the members of the Air Force who
fought and died during the battle and as well as
recognizes all the men and women who continue to
serve in the Air Force today. 1015-1130 hrs at CASM.
Full uniform. Designated cadets to report for 0930 hrs.
20 SEPT - PARADE BATAILLE D’ANGLETERRE
Le défilé de la bataille d’Angleterre rend hommage aux
membres de la Force aérienne qui ont combattu ou trouvé la
mort pendant cette bataille, mais également aux hommes et
aux femmes actuellement en service dans la Force
aérienne. 1015-1130 h au MAEC. Uniforme complet. Les
cadets désignés doivent se rapporter pour 0930 h.
26 SEP - FLYING DAY
Flying Day from 0800-1200 hrs at Rockcliffe Airport.
Priority given to level 1 and Level 2 cadets that have not
participated. Appropriate civilian attire for the weather.

26 SEPT - JOURNEE DE VOL

27 SEP – ARBRASKA LAFLÈCHE ACTIVITY
Arbraska Laflèche (http://arbraska.com/en/lafleche/)
activity consisting of aerial courses made of suspended

signed Arbraska Laflèche Release of Liability Waiver
Form must be returned, along with the $10 deposit
(cash, no coins), and the transport fee (if required) to
CI Moo Sang no later than 22 September. Because of
contract rules with Arbraska Laflèche, no participants will
be added after that date. Parents may participate and
will pay the group rate.

(comptant, pas de pièces de monnaie) et le coût du transport
(si requis) doivent être remis à l’IC Moo Sang au plus tard le
22 septembre. A cause du contrat avec Arbraska Laflèche,
aucun participant ne sera ajouté après cette date. Les
parents peuvent participer et paieront le prix de groupe.

All cadets are responsible to check the Squadron
website at least once a week for messages. At a
minimum the website Event Calendar and Weekly
Messages pages should be checked on the day
preceding any cadet activity for the latest updated
information.

Activity. Activity (http://arbraska.com/en/lafleche/)
consists of aerial courses made of suspended bridges,
rope vines, monkey bridges, swings, and zip lines. The
course last 3½ hours and will take place rain or shine.

Cost. Free of charge; however a $10 deposit (refunded
on Saturday) is required as a guarantee of attendance.
If a cadet is unable to attend, we require at least 48
hours’ notice for the deposit to be returned.
