--------------------------------------------Instructions -----------------------------------------There are three parts to the placement exercise – all together you should not spend more than an hour
on it. The sections consist of short exercises, you should attempt all the exercises. At the end of each
section there is a free writing topic, all students should write something on the first two topics.
Students with GCSE grades B-G or equivalent as their highest qualification need not complete the third
piece of free writing at the end of section 3 but should attempt the multiple choice exercise.
