Produire au Sud est un atelier de formation initiale aux outils de
la coproduction internationale destiné aux jeunes producteurs
d’Afrique, d’Amérique latine et d’Asie.
Créé en 2000 par le Festival des 3 Continents (Nantes), l’atelier
Produire au Sud est aujourd’hui organisé dans le monde entier, en
complément du rendez-vous annuel nantais en novembre et en
partenariat avec des festivals internationaux : Buenos Aires, Salvador
de Bahia, Bangkok, Beyrouth, Belo Horizonte, Durban, Sderot…
Grâce à l’implication de professionnels français et européens
permettant de poser les bases durables d’une formation et
d’une coopération cinématographique internationale, les
ateliers Produire au Sud ont pour ambition de créer un véritable
réseau de jeunes producteurs aguerris.
Produire au Sud met en œuvre une logique d’accompagnement
individuel de projets de film portés par de jeunes producteurs,
qui bénéficient, pendant une semaine d’ateliers, d’une
formation personnalisée et de consultations individuelles en
production et en scénario. Les ateliers sont encadrés et animés
par des professionnels européens et internationaux du secteur
cinématographique.
Produire au Sud is an initial training seminar and workshop
around international production for young producers from
Africa, Asia and South America. Set up in 2000 by the Festival
des 3 Continents (Nantes), the Produire au Sud workshops are
held in Nantes during the festival week in November and abroad
in partnership with other international film festivals : Buenos
Aires, Salvador de Bahia, Bangkok, Beyrouth, Belo Horizonte,
Durban, Sderot…
The workshops aim to faster a real southern producers’
network, in laying lasting foundations of an international
cinematographic training and cooperation between young and
enthusiastic producers from the south.
Produire au Sud accompanies individual projects and helps
the selected producers to acquire professional skills and tools
during an intense one-week seminar where they benefit from
customized training and individual consulting lead by European
professionals belonging to the international cinema industry.

En parallèle de l'Atelier, 3 réalisateurs sud-africains sont
accueillis pour développer leur scénario de long-métrage
pendant une semaine, dans un programme parallèle baptisé
" Produire au Sud Script Studio ". Ce Studio est organisé dans
le cadre de la Saisons croisée France-Afrique du Sud, et en
partenariat avec le Durban Film Mart et le Festival International
du Film de Durban (Afrique du Sud).
Besides the workshop, three south african filmmakers are
welcome this year to develop their feature script during one week
within a new program named " Produire au Sud Script Studio ".
This studio is organized in the frame of the Crossed Season
France-South Africa, in partnership with the DFM (Durban Film
Mart) and the DIFF (Durban International Film festival).
