EVENTS:
1) Singles: Compass Format
Players are divided into 8 pools of -6 players, depending on final entries,
and play a round robin. Winners and finalists of each pool are drawn into a
Championship Flight of 16 players, 3rd place finishers are drawn into Flight
2 with 8 players, and 4th place finishers drawn into Flight 3 with 8 players.
Each flight has ¾ play-offs and consolation events.
2) Doubles: Regular Single Elimination

CHAMPIONSHIP
Players to be awarded points for their singles and doubles results.
Gold, silver & bronze medals to be awarded to the top 3 Provincial teams.
DRAW SIZES:
The final draw size is a function of the number of entries received from the
Base Provincial Allocations, Tennis Canada U12 Spots, National Junior
Training Program Spots, and the Out of Country spots.
ELIGIBILITY:
By invitation from Provincial Association based on guaranteed allocations.
Open only to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
RULES AND
REGULATIONS
The Tennis Canada code of conduct will be enforced including the
Policy for Late Withdrawal and Failure to Complete Required Tournament
Events. Singles matches: the best of 3 tiebreak sets.
Doubles matches: regular scoring with a super match tie-break (first to 10
points) for the 3rd set. Players are required to play singles and doubles.
SCHEDULE OF PLAY:
Matches begin April 3 at 8:30 a.m.
COACHES MEETING/
PHOTOGRAPH:
Saturday April 2, 3 p.m. at the host club, followed by the group
photograph at approximately 4 p.pm. Player attendance is mandatory and tshirts will be provided.
PLAYER’S MEETING:
The mandatory player’s meeting will follow the photograph.
DRAW:
Pubic draw: approximately 5 pm. Player attendance is optional for the draw.
DOUBLES SIGN IN:
Provincial Coaches must sign in their doubles teams with the Tournament
Director April 2 by 6 p.m.
PRACTICE COURTS:
Practice courts may be booked for Friday April 1 and Saturday April 2 by
contacting Sharon Jenvey at [email protected] by March 24.
Additional practice courts will be available on the outdoor courts
throughout the tournament. White tennis attire must be worn on the
outdoor courts.
AWARDS CEREMONY:
April 9 immediately following the conclusion of the final matches.
TRAVEL:
Responsibility of each player’s Provincial Association. Please arrange for
a coach/chaperone to travel with your team.
ACCOMMODATION:
Accommodation bookings and payment are the responsibility of each
Provincial Association. See attached accommodation information sheet for
details.
TRANSPORTATION:
Only transportation requests included on the attached transportation form
will be accommodated. Please email all transportation requests to Indoor
Courts Office Manager Sharon Jenvey at [email protected] by
March 24.
NOTE TO PROVINCES:
Please ensure that the appropriate players from your province receive a
release form and pertinent information included in the fact sheet. Tennis
Canada will not forward this package to any players. It is imperative that
the coaches and chaperones travelling to the event also receive a copy of
this fact sheet.

Any unused TC/U12, NJTP or Out of Country spots will be returned to Tennis Canada and
distributed through the unused allocation process.
Tennis Canada has the discretion to increase the draw size, via the awarding of NJTP spots to the following
individuals. Players who do not meet their provinces published wild card criteria &/or players that are
unable to qualify in their provinces Junior Nationals qualifying process, due to their participation in an
official Tennis Canada Training Camp or on an official Tennis Canada tour. In addition, players residing &
training full time outside of Canada may be granted an Out of Country spot.

March 14. After this date the discount will not apply, no exceptions. Room availability will not be
guaranteed after this date. Please note that if a province is unsure of the number of rooms to be booked
please over book. Cancellations may be made up to 48 hours in advance. There is no cancellation fee if
done 48 hours in advance.

In consideration of the acceptance of my entry in the junior Canadian National Championships (Junior
Nationals), I do hereby, for and on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, releases and
forever discharge the Canadian Tennis Association (CTA), the host club and their respective agents, officials,
employees and representatives of and from any and all actions, claims and demands of every kind, nature and
character that I may have or may hereafter acquire for any and all damages, losses or injuries of any nature to my
person or property, howsoever caused, arising out of or in connection with my taking part in the Junior Nationals
and notwithstanding that the same have been occasioned by the negligence of the CTA, its agents, officials,
employees and representatives, or any of them, or the host club of any of their respective agents, officials,
employees and representatives, or any of them, including without limitation, and travelling to or from and/or
preparation for the Junior Nationals, and all such claims are hereby waived or released and I covenant not to sue
therefor.
In addition, I also grant and assign to the Canadian Tennis Association (CTA) the right in perpetuity to make, use
and show from time to time and at their discretion, motion pictures, still pictures and live, taped or filmed
television and other reproductions of me during the Junior Nationals without compensation for me, my heirs,
executors, administrators or assigns. I agree to cooperate with the news media and to participate upon request in
reasonable promotional activities of the CTA, relating to the Junior Nationals including without limitation,
appearances in promotional commercials for the Junior Nationals, opening and closing ceremonies and events,
press conferences and finals ceremonies. In addition, I agree to participate upon request in other reasonable
promotional activities provided they are convenient to my playing schedule. These appearances and activities
may not be represented as an endorsement by me of any product or company.
