Electrical risks
WARNING!
3.3.1 Installation information
Check if the mains system supplies the energy required by the MSX-Box.
Ensure that the maximum values are not exceeded.
Please read the installation instructions before connecting the MSX-Box to
the mains supply.
You must also note the pin assignment of the connectors and the technical
data for the MSX-Box.
The mains supply cable should allow for short circuit or overload
protection. Ensure that a fuse or a contact breaker (registered and certified
by UL – only in USA and Canada) of not more than 240 V AC, 10 A
(or 120 V AC, 15 A in the USA and Canada) is used.
3.3.2 Working on the MSX-Box
Ensure that the connection to the mains supply is broken by setting the
mains switch to "0" and pulling the mains supply cable out of the MSXBox.
The MSX-Box may only be operated within a closed casing.
3.3.3 Contact-voltage proof
The protected earth (PE) must be guaranteed via the mains supply cable.
3.3.4 ESD protection
Sufficient ESD protection (electrostatic discharge) must be guaranteed when
the MSX-Box is being commissioned or repaired.
