World Photographers Focusing on Beijing est à la recherche de photographes professionnels pour participer à la prochaine édition de cet événement qui aura lieu du 20 au 30 mai prochain. World Photographers Focusing on Beijing is seeking professional photographers to participate in the next edition of this event to be held from May 20 to 30, 2013. General Information of 2013 World Photographers Focusing on Beijing “World Photographers Focusing on Beijing” is an important annual cultural exchange and photographic event that is sponsored by the Beijing Association for Cultural Exchanges and the Information Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality and other organizations. Since its beginning in 1999, the event has been organized by Beijing This Month Publications (BTMP) and the Beijing Foreign Cultural Exchanges Center (BCEC). Since 2005, ten highly regarded, world-­‐renowned professional photographers from around the world have been invited to Beijing each year to spend a week photographically exploring the municipality, recording its modernization and capturing its enduring charm in unforgettable images, making it one of Beijing’s most endearing annual cultural-­‐exchange events. More than 100 masters of photography have participated in the activity. The magnificent photographs created by these photographers form a cherished record of this ancient world capital’s transformation into a dynamic, modern, international metropolis. The “Charming Beijing” photo database, created as a result of this activity, helps people worldwide gain a better understanding of Beijing’s modern transformation, hence Beijing’s image as an aspiring World City with Chinese characteristics. The 2013 “World Photographers Focusing on Beijing” photographic event is scheduled for May 20–30, 2013, in Beijing. The event will span seven days. The sponsors will bear the photographers’ international transportation, accommodation and catering costs and will compensate the photographers invited, based on Service Agreements the sponsors will sign with the photographers.
