CLAIM COMPLETION AND CODING
Preventive operation
– Reprogramming of the injection computer.
When to take action
– When a recall letter has been sent to the customer
and/or the first time the vehicle is brought into the
workshop.
Description of the operation
– Check the internal part number of the injection
computer using the diagnostic tool.
• If the internal part number of the injection computer
is not listed in the table below:
– Issue a request for reimbursement under
warranty or an individual claim, depending on
country (see Accounts procedure)
• If the internal part number of the injection computer
is listed in the table below:
– Reprogram the injection computer in
accordance with Technical Note 3585A.
