Last year the United Nations recognized the outstanding
contribution of France to the culinary arts and gastronomy.
On May 25 2011 French Senator J.P. Cantegrit, by letter,
awarded Dr. R.P. Charbonnier, Bailli Régional de la
Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs with the Medal of
Honour of the Senate of France, to reward his devotion to
French gastronomy.
At a dinner held at Cordon Bleu-Signatures restaurant
on May 29 2011, Dr. Charbonnier spoke of his experiences
and paid homage to those who influenced or assisted him
over the years. Those mentioned included J. Zonda and H.
Laflamme, now both deceased, along with M.M. Legendre,
M.E. Coupal-Place and E. LeMarquand. During a later
dinner in June 2011, M. Jacques Janson presented the
actual Medal of Honour of the Senate of France to Dr.
Charbonnier.
L’an dernier l’UFE a reconnu la contribution de la France à
l’art culinaire et la gastronomie. Le 25 mai 2011, le Sénateur
français J.P. Cantegrit a accordé, par lettre, la médaille
d’honneur du Sénat français au Dr R.P. Charbonnier, Bailli
Régional de la Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs en
reconnaissance pour sa dévotion à la gastronomie française.
Au cours d’un diner au restaurant Cordon BleuSignatures, le 29 mai 2011, Dr. Charbonnier a parlé de ses
expériences passées et a rendu hommage à ceux qui l’ont
influencé ou assisté au cours des ans, lui permettant de
recevoir cette médaille, entre autres, J. Zonda et H.
Laflamme, décédés, M.M. Legendre, M.E. Coupal-Place et E.
LeMarquand.
Au cours du dîner de juin 2011, M. Jacques Janson a
présenté la médaille d’honneur du Sénat de France au Dr
R.P. Charbonnier.
