Patients can endure great physical suffering and emotional
stress when they have cancer, often due to treatment side
effects.
To boost patients’ well-being and support them in their medical
treatment, the Mimi Foundation helps to improve their physical,
psychological and social comfort, especially if they do not have
the resources enabling them to face their illness with dignity.
The “well-being” centre at the Site St-Elisabeth is an integral part
of the out-patient Oncology Department and is ideally located
next to the rooms where patients receive their treatment. Each
treatment and service offered by the foundation has its own
dedicated room.
The “well-being” centre at the Site St-Michel was opened at
the end of 2008. It has two rooms located at the entrance to
the Oncology Department. One is home to the beauty and hair
consultants and the other is home to the psychologist.

It supports projects to improve the quality of life of women
suffering from cancer, especially when they are having
chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy.
