Claude Lemieux a participé à plusieurs
centaines de concerts partout au Québec, soit
comme organiste, soit comme chef de chœur. Il
a fait ses études musicales à l'Université Laval
auprès d'Antoine Bouchard, Antoine Reboulot,
Scott Ross et Chantal Masson-Bourque. Il a
complété sa formation par un stage en facture
d'orgues à la maison Guilbault-Thérien. Il a été
réalisateur pour Radio-Canada pendant sept ans,
directeur de l'Ensemble de musique sacrée de
Québec pendant plus de dix ans, a siégé au
Comité diocésain de musique sacrée, à
l'Association des organistes liturgiques du
Canada (LAUDEM) et au conseil
d'administration du Concours d'orgue de
Québec et de la Fondation Claude Lavoie. À
Québec, il a été organiste-titulaire aux églises
Saint-François-d'Assise, Saint-Thomas-d'Aquin,
Sainte-Monique-les-Saules et à la basiliquecathédrale Notre-Dame. Claude Lemieux est
aujourd'hui titulaire à la cathédrale Sainte-Anne
de La Pocatière et directeur de La Schola
Cantorum au Conservatoire de musique de
Québec.
Claude Lemieux has participated in hundreds of
concerts throughout Quebec, either as organist or as
choirmaster. He completed musical studies at Laval
University with Antoine Bouchard, Antoine Reboulot,
Scott Ross and Chantal Masson-Bourque. He
furthered his studies by a training period in organbuilding at the Guilbault-Thérien workshops. He was
film director for the CBC French national radio
network for seven years, director of the Quebec Sacred
Music Ensemble for more than ten years, member of
the Sacred music committee for the Quebec City
diocese, member of the Association of liturgical
organists of Canada (LAUDEM) and on the board of
directors of the Quebec City Organ Competition and
the Claude Lavoie Foundation. In Quebec City, he was
organist at Saint-François-d'Assise church, SaintThomas-d'Aquin church, Sainte-Monique-les-Saules
church and at Notre-Dame Basilica-Cathedral. Claude
Lemieux is now the titular organist at Sainte-Anne
Cathedral in La Pocatière and director of the Schola
Cantorum at the Quebec City Music Conservatory
