ADLER Acryl-Fensterlack M 43670 ff Water-based, pigmented topcoat for wooden windows and front doors for industrial and professional use It has been matched as a system with a 3-coat structure using Aquawood TIG Weiß (White) and Aquawood Intermedio or ADLER Acryl-Spritzfüller PRODUCT DESCRIPTION General Water-based, pigmented topcoat with good weathering resistance and permanent elasticity. High block resistance, excellent impact resistance, fast water resistance and short drying times. Good mechanical resistance. Special Properties Testing Standards Good stability on vertical surfaces with optimal flow Particularly low number of micro-bubbles with airless spray application as a result of highly active de-foaming and deaerating agents. ÖNORM EN 71-3 “Safety of toys; Migration of certain elements” (free of heavy metals) French Ordinance DEVL1104875A regarding the labelling of construction coating products with respect to their emission of volatile pollutants: A+ Dimensionally stable wooden components such as wooden windows and doors or garage gates For humid areas (e.g. indoor pools) only with special system For front doors, additionally with the colourless topcoat Aquawood Protect 53215 We recommend Pullex Color 50530 or Pullex Aqua-Color 53331 for wooden components that are not dimensionally stable Please follow the respective technical data sheets of the products. Areas of application PROCESSING Instructions for use Please stir the product before use. However, prevent entry of air while stirring. The temperature of the product and object, and the room temperature must be at least 15 °C. The optimal conditions while processing are between 15 – 25 °C with a relative atmospheric humidity between 40 – 80 %. Very large dry film thicknesses beyond about 120 µm lower the diffusion capability and therefore should be avoided. 08-14 (supersedes 03-14) ZKL 5001 ADLER-Werk Lackfabrik, A-6130 Schwaz Fon: 0043/5242/6922-301, Fax: 0043/5242/6922-309, Mail: [email protected] Our instructions for use are based on knowledge available currently and shall guide the purchaser / user to the best of one’s knowledge, but, however, must be clarified for the areas of application and processing conditions on a case-to-case basis. ADLER Acryl-Fensterlack M Application technique 0-5% 10 % Sealants must be compatible with the coat and must be applied only after through-drying of the paint. Weather strips containing softening agents or plasticizers tend to adhere in combination with paints - please use only tested types. When switching over from Acryl-Fensterlack M to other waterbased systems, you must ensure proper and sufficient intermediate cleaning of the lines and spray guns, best with warm water. Please follow our "Working guidelines (ARL) for dimensionally stable and limited dimensionally stable components" along with all standards and guidelines for window construction and our “Guidelines on the use of wood preservatives”. The drying time depends on the type of wood, coat thickness, temperature, air exchange and relative atmospheric humidity. Avoid direct sunlight (very quick drying). Cleaning the tools and equipment With water immediately after use. Remove flashed-off coat residues using ADLER Aqua-Cleaner 80080 or ADLER Abbeizer Rote Krähe 95125. SUBSTRATE Type of substrate Softwoods and hardwoods in accordance with the guidelines for window construction Substrate property (or condition) The substrate must be dry, clean and capable of holding the paint and it must be free of grease, wax and wood dust. Wood moisture Dimensionally stable components: 13 % +/- 2 % COATING SYSTEM Primer coat Softwood: 1x Aquawood TIG Weiß (white) 51253, 51098, 51061 4 hours drying Softwood and hardwood: 1x Aquawood TIG Weiß (White) 51253 or 51098 4 hours drying Please follow the respective technical data sheets of the products. Intermediate coat Low-resin softwood and hardwood: 1x Aquawood Intermedio 53663 with flow-coating 2 hours drying The coating of wood aluminium windows is often done without an intermediate coat. High-resin softwood and hardwood with colouring ingredients: 1x ADLER Acryl-Spritzfüller 41002 wet-film thickness 150 - 200 µm, 4 hours drying Please follow the respective technical data sheets of the products. 08-14 (supersedes 03-14) Page 3 of 5 ADLER Acryl-Fensterlack M Intermediate sanding Sanding grain size 220 – 280. Topcoat Softwood and hardwood 1x ADLER Acryl-Spritzlack M 43670 ff without dilution Final coat For front doors we recommend an additional application of the colourless topcoat Aquawood Protect 53215 Please follow the respective technical data sheets of the products. CARE & REFURBISHMENT Preservation The storage stability depends on several factors. These include particularly the type of weathering, constructive protection, mechanical stress and the choice of colour shades applied. Preservation work must be carried out in time for a long period of storage stability. Annual maintenance is recommended for this purpose. Windows: Cleaning with the help of ADLER Top-Cleaner 51696 is adequate (in case of severe dirt and contamination) Preservation with ADLER Top-Finish should not be carried out on account of the risk of streaking. Front doors: Cleaning with ADLER Top-Cleaner 51696 and preservation using ADLER Door-Finish 51700 in the ADLER Haustürenpflegeset (front door preservative kit) 51709. Please follow the respective technical data sheets of the products. Refurbishing Refurbishment with ADLER Aqua-Isoprimer PRO 41005 and ADLER Varicolor 41201 ff or, in case of greed wood, with Pullex RenovierGrund 50236 ff and ADLER Samtalkyd 52351 ff or Pullex Color 50530 ff. Please follow the respective technical data sheets of the products.
