The Program
The Cesar Academy stopover in your city
Including the 2012 César Award winner
For one evening, The César Academy invites you to discover a
special program featuring the short film award winners from
worldwide.
From Strasbourg to Biarritz, the program is screened in 11
cities in France participating to the "Tournée des Nuits en Or"
during which the French Film Academy of Cinema meets the
French cinema exhibitors and their audience.
Beyond the hexagonal borders, the program will also be
broadcasted in 5 capitals, Montréal, Madrid, Copenhagen,
Geneva, Rome. It will be the occasion for the French Film
Academy of Cinema to meet with other National Academies
and participate in an exchange between different cultures of
the world.
The French Film Academy congratulates the director Olivier Treiner
for the PIANO TUNER produced by Thibault Gast and Matthias
Weber for 2425 Films, winners of the Cesar Best Short Film.

Wendy, a 16-year-old girl, is forced to spend her summer vacation in an
abandoned holiday resort, where her Grandmother is the caretaker. In this
village in the middle of nowhere, they are just a clique of local teenagers
drinking and killing time in the empty pool. Here Wendy experiences a bittersweet summer love affair.

Adrien is a young and extroardinarily talented pianist who never recovers
from failing a prestigious competition. He works hereafter as piano tuner
and invents a blind person’s mask to penetrate into the intimacy of his
customers.
