In Black Milk , Louise Vanneste explores and redefines female archetypes. Through a relationship of interdependence based on symmetry, two women
perform a magnetic dance of singular twinship, emphasising the otherness of the performance. They trace out a journey of metamorphoses drawn from
ancient mythology and totalitarian aesthetics: hunting Dianas, she-wolves, vestal virgins, amazons and caryatids provide hieratic and sensual images
forming the texture of this intimate and formal choreography.
