CONSTRUCTION WORK
QUÉBEC / JEAN-LESAGE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (CYQB)
SUMMER 2016
Five (5) major projects from April to November 2016
Major construction work will be done on the airport airside at CYQB resulting in important changes in the use
of the runways, their access and movement on the taxiways and ramps.
April 11 to October 16 2016 – Construction of aircraft parking at the junction of
Ramp 2 and 3

Gates 19, 20, and 21 will be closed for the duration of the construction period;

Periodic closures of taxiway Charlie;

Temporary construction fence reducing visibility when circulating between Ramp 2 and 3;

Mix of vehicle and aircraft circulation.
June 6 to 18 2016 – Repair of the Intersection of runways 06-24 and 11-29

Work 24 hours a day;

Day : 4,600’ of runway, threshold 06 relocated East of the intersection (05:00–00:34);

Night : 4,300’ of runway, threshold 06 relocated East of the intersection (00:35–04:59);

Taxiways Charlie, Bravo, Golf, Hotel and a portion of Delta will be closed;

Northern field closed to helicopter training;

Mandatory slots required for non-commercial flights;

No touch-and-go will be allowed during this period;

Runway 06: unavailable CAT I precision approach;

Please note that the repair work will have the following impacts on flight procedures at CYQB:

June 6 to July 13 2016 – Repair work to runway 11-29

Runway 11-29 will be closed;

Taxiways Charlie and Bravo will be closed.
August 8 to September 18 2016 – Widening of Ramp 2

Periodic closures of Ramp 2, aircraft circulation redirected by Charlie/11-29/Bravo;

Periodic closures of taxiways Charlie and Bravo;

Periodic closures of gates 23, 24 and 25.
