Bio-The Heights
“Ear-wreckingly loud guitars, star-humping melodies and vocals that sound like dinosaurs rutting…Its blatantly obvious that the world is a better place by their very existence. God bless The Heights” - James Jam, NME 'Thrilling, visceral Rock and Roll' – ARTROCKER ‘…A big fucking first punching some sense into a brain cluttered with pretenders and poseurs!' - THE FLY ‘An adolescent Tom Waits fronting The Strokes after an evening duetting with Lemmy’ -ROCKSOUND The Heights Debut Album ‘Toys and Kings’ OUT NOW! They hail from Llanberis, North Wales, except Pearse, who is from North London. The moment they met, they all decided to rent a house together, turning the living room into a rehearsal room. A year’s worth of parties and in-house gigs later, they were evicted. The band now stays where they can when they’re not touring, causing more of the havoc and arrests that seem to follow them. Whilst on a recent US tour their good time music rocked SXSW and CMJ where they became friends with The Zutons and The Kooks and landed in Spin and CMJ magazines! THE HEIGHTS’ debut single led the band to early critical acclaim and spots on MTV Gonzo (followed by the Gonzo tour), NME Chart Show, Brand Spanking New, KerrangTV, E4's Freshly Squeezed, & The Amp. The band has since released single ‘Jamaica Beer Eyes’ and the ‘Bad News’ EP. In support of these releases the band have done several headline tours and supported the likes of Editors, The Kooks, The Zutons, The Crimea, Stellastarr*, The Morning After Girls, The Charlatans and The Cribs. www.myspace.com/theheightsuk For info contact: Anthony Shaw- www.bestbeforerecords.com [email protected] +44(0)20 7691 4555
