IPSD 2013
Chers amis,
Ce numéro de CIPC Flash donne une grande place à l’IPSD 2013. Nous avons
reçu de nombreuses photos et commentaires des rassemblements organisés par certaines fédérations (le Japon en particulier). Nous les publions
ici. D’autres rassemblements ont eu lieu (en Italie et Portugal à notre
connaissance), mais sans photos.
Nous montrons ainsi que les fumeurs de pipe sont encore vivants !
Mais, voici quelques nouvelles rapides :
• Pipe Show de Chicago : nous avons demandé à Kurt Eggemann de représenter le CIPC du 3 au 5 mai. Vernon Vig lui a donné tous les renseignements et l’accueillera.
• Le Liban a un pipe club. Jonathan l’avait découvert, il y a quelques années. A l’occasion de l’IPSD, ce club nous a transmis son salut.
• Nous apprécions les newsletters de l’Italie et du Portugal , ainsi que la
revue du Danemark. Merci à eux.
• Notre trésorier va vous envoyer les appels à cotisation (120 €)
• Geert Landlust, notre Secrétaire, a eu des problèmes d’ordinateur et n’a
pas encore écrit le compte-rendu de l’Assemblée Générale de Séville. Si
vous le souhaitez, l’enregistrement audio de la réunion peut vous être
envoyé.
• Notre compétition annuelle. Elle sera organisée par le Pipe Club de
Pologne, à Poznan, les 10, 11 et 12 octobre 2013. Tous les détails de la
manifestation sont déjà sur Internet www.pipeworldcup.com
Dear friends,
This issue of CPIC Flash gives a great place to IPSD 2013. We received
many photos and comments rallies organized by some federations
(especially Japan). We publish here. Other rallies were held (in Italy and
Portugal to our knowledge), but no photos.
We show that pipe smokers are still alive!
But here are some quick news:
• Chicago Pipe Show: We asked Kurt Eggemann represent the CIPC May 3
to 5 Vernon Vig gave him all the information and will receive it.
• Lebanon has a pipe club. Jonathan had discovered a few years ago. On
the occasion of the IPSD, this club has given us salvation.
• We appreciate the newsletters Italy and Portugal, as well as the review
of Denmark. Thank you to them.
• Our treasurer will send you calls contribution (€ 120)
• Geert Landlust, our Secretary, had computer problems and has not yet
written the report of the General Assembly of Seville. If you want the
audio recording of the meeting can be sent.
• Our annual competition. It will be organized by the Pipe Club of Poland,
Poznan, 10, 11 and 12 October 2013. All details of the event are already on
the Internet www.pipeworldcup.com

IPSD IN POLAND
Gdansk
Main place for IPSD celebration was in Gdansk. Two pipe smoking contests took place there with 52 participants each.

PCC Poznan members met to watch slide-show prepared by Henryk Rogalski and to listen to Jacek Schmidt’s lecture about popes and saints who used tobacco.
Jacek Schmidt as a PCC Poznan representative did an interview for local TV station ONTV.

Katowice
Silesian PC – Katowice did a meeting with occasional pipe smoking contest. Nine members took place in this contest. Each participant got a
special diploma with IPSD logo.

Warszawa
PC Warsaw members made a walk in downtown of Warszawa with their
pipes in hands. This happening had the devise ‘Pipes are not dead’. This
meeting ended at Zamkowy Square close to King Zygmunt statue.
