"Le Café français" at the Consul
General's residence
November 7th, 6-8 pm

Le Café Français is a networking event for teachers and professors of French
that offers them a chance to meet each other and discuss teaching practices.
After a 15-minute welcome speech by Monsieur Fabien Fieschi, the new Consul
General of France in Boston, teachers are invited to socialize for an hour over
French wine and hors d'oeuvres.
Reservation required - limited space. Please contact Charlotte Barat before
October 31st.

Assistant for 2013-2014
The French Foreign Language Teaching Assistant
(FLTA) program offers American schools the
possibility to welcome young aspiring teachers from
France into their schools to serve as teaching
assistants. TAs lead conversation groups, attend
language laboratories, research and create class
materials, coordinate extra-curricular activities on
campus, and appear as guest speakers in cultural
courses.

Plateforme Numérique
"Regards
Transatlantiques"
Les élections présidentielles en France et aux
États-Unis ont lieu exceptionnellement la même
année en 2012. A cette occasion, le projet Regards
Transatlantiques invite les élèves des écoles à
croiser leurs regards de jeunes citoyens sur leur
démocratie respective. Une plateforme collaborative
est mise à disposition des élèves et professeurs
anglais et américains. Ils peuvent y publier vidéos,
podcasts et photographies en lien avec les élections
présidentielles américaines et françaises. Les
meilleures réalisations collectives seront
récompensées par des lots de beaux livres.
Les enseignants qui souhaitent participer avec leurs
élèves doivent retourner leur fiche d'inscription à

"Tournées Festival" on
American Campuses
Application deadline: October 1, 2012.
Information on the new 2012-2013 Tournées Festival
season is now available online. Tournées Festival
offers a wide selection of the most recent films from
France and French-speaking countries that you can
screen on your campus. Departments, film clubs,
student organizations, and cultural institutions
affiliated with your university may apply under certain
conditions.

Concours @nime ta
francophonie 2012
Le Centre de la francophonie des Amériques lance la
quatrième édition de ce concours, sur le thème
"Faites-nous découvrir une autre communauté
francophone des Amériques". Si vous êtes
enseignant ou professeur de français, vous êtes
vivement invités à y participer avec vos élèves, afin
de leur faire découvrir la francophonie des Amériques
par la mise en oeuvre d'un projet éducatif en français
en utilisant la vidéo. Les projets doivent être déposés
avant le 10 décembre 2012.

wide variety of activities, which include cultural fairs,
