High-tech consoles to conquer the stock markets
En 2005, suite au rachat d'une spin off de l'ULg, IP Trade
lance un système de téléphonie unique. La console
téléphonique la plus fiable au monde, destinée aux salles
de marchés financiers, a ainsi vu le jour à Liège. Celle-ci
permet aux traders une gestion simultanée d'un très grand
nombre de contacts. La société développe un téléphone IP
spécifiquement destiné à ces salles de marché. Les traders
sont extrêmement exigeants quant aux caractéristiques de
leurs téléphones, explique Didier Mattivi, Directeur général
d'IP Trade. Ceux-ci doivent, en effet, supporter jusqu'à trente
communications simultanées sur six combinés et deux hautparleurs, de même qu'un nombre de raccourcis supérieur à
mille. Quand nous avons lancé la société, nous savions que
les traders étaient sensibles au design. IP Trade travaille avec
le bureau de design Inov, à Villers-le-Bouillet, sous la houlette
de Jacques Tilman. Nous sommes en cours de re-design du
produit pour répondre aux spécificités du marché, poursuit
Didier Mattivi. La solution proposée est entièrement compatible
avec les leaders mondiaux de centraux téléphoniques
tels Cisco ou Avaya. Il s'agit d'une tablette sans pavé de
numérotation, mais avec un écran tactile capable d’appeler
simultanément une série d'interlocuteurs. Ce produit est un
terminal directement connecté aux centraux téléphoniques,
ce qui le démarque de la concurrence et diminue de 50% le
coût d'acquisition. Avec IP Trade, il n'y a qu'un seul réseau.
Nous avons rendu possible cette migration sur les salles de
marché. La solution la plus sécurisée du marché, conclut le
directeur général d’IP Trade. Après une phase consacrée à la
recherche et au développement, la jeune société, implantée
au Sart Tilman à Liège, procède désormais à ses installations
et commercialise ses produits. IP Trade vise le remplacement
d'une part significative des 300 000 positions de traders dans
le monde, réparties principalement entre New York, Londres,
Francfort, Singapour, Hong Kong et Tokyo. Elle a ouvert un
bureau à Londres, une filiale aux États-Unis et des bureaux de
représentation en Suisse, en Allemagne et en Belgique. Elle
compte également des clients en Asie. Fin 2008, la société
aura conquis 5% du marché mondial dans ce secteur.
In 2005, following the buy back of an ULg spin off, IP Trade
launched a unique telephone system. The most reliable
telephone console in the world, destined for the financial
dealing rooms, saw the light of day in Liège. It allows the
traders to simultaneously manage a great number of contacts.
The company develops an IP telephone specifically intended
for these dealing rooms. The traders are extremely demanding
regarding the features of their telephones, explains Didier
Mattivi, General Director of IP Trade. These must, in fact, be
able to support up to thirty simultaneous calls on six receivers
and two loudspeakers, as well as a number of shortcuts above
a thousand. When we launched the company, we knew that
the traders were sensitive to design. IP Trade works with the
design agency Inov, in Villers-le-Bouillet, under the guidance
of Jacques Tilman. We’re in the process of redesigning the
product to reply to the specifics of the market, continues
Didier Mattivi. The proposed solution is entirely compatible
with the worlds leading switchboard companies such as
Cisco or Avaya. It’s a tablet without a numeric keypad, but
with a tactile screen capable of simultaneously calling a series
of interlocutors. This product is a terminal directly connected
to a switchboard, which is what distinguishes it from the
competition and reduces the cost of acquisition by 50%.
With IP Trade, there is only one network. We have made this
migration possible in the dealing rooms. It’s the safest solution
on the market, concludes the general director of IP Trade.
After a phase devoted to research and development, the
young company, set up in Sart Tilman in Liège, continues with
its installations and the commercialisation of its products. IP
Trade targets the replacement of a significant part of 300 000
trading positions in the world, shared mainly between New
York, London, Frankfurt, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
They have opened an office in London, a subsidiary in the
United States and representative offices in Switzerland, in
Germany and in Belgium. It also has clients in Asia. At the
end of 2008, the company will have conquered 5% of the
world market in this sector.
