Funk !
Débauche de sons et de rythmes, le funk doit tout au jazz, au
rhythm’n'blues et à la soul. Après des années d’espérance
déçues, les Afro-Américains radicalisent leur message musical
et idéologique, prennent leur distances avec les goûts
esthétiques des Blancs et célèbrent la beauté noire.
De James Brown à George Clinton, de Sly Stone à Prince,
dense et touffu, le funk s’exalte alors dans la danse et la
transe et remet le corps au centre du jeu.
Quant au funk étincelant d’Earth Wind & Fire ou de Michael
Jackson, il saura conquérir le monde et atteindra des sommets
inégalés.
