Publics 2012" Exhibition
Notre participation au
salon
Transports
Publics, en juin dernier
à Paris, représente un
temps fort de l’année
pour la société, étant
fortement impliquée
dans les métiers du transport et du ferroviaire. Cela a permis
de renforcer nos liens avec nos partenaires et clients de ce
secteur, et d’autre part de développer un grand nombre de
contacts nous permettant d’envisager la croissance de notre
activité dans le transport.
Our participation in the "Transports Publics" exhibition last
June in Paris was one of the highlights of the year for our
company, given our strong involvement in the transport and
railway
sectors.
This
exhibition provided us with an
opportunity to strengthen our
bonds with our partners and
customers in these sectors as
well as to develop a large
number of contacts enabling
us to envisage the growth of
our transport activity.

Des nouveautés dans nos activités de documentation cette
année :
- Pour un grand programme ferroviaire, prestations d’expertise
sur plusieurs systèmes du train, et organisation, création des
arborescences et des instructions de maintenance en mode
structuré (Arbortext™ Editor).
- Formation de constructeurs de
machines à l’élaboration de notices
d’instructions
(conformes
à
la
Directive CE), comprenant l’étude du
besoin, la constitution du programme
de formation, le suivi, etc.
- Constitution d’un grand nombre de
catalogues illustrés de pièces de
rechange.
What's new in our documentation activities this year:
- For a major railway programme, provision of expert services
on a number of train systems, and the organisation and
creation of tree structures and maintenance instructions in
structured
mode
(Arbortext™
Editor).
- Training of machine manufacturers
in preparing instruction manuals (as
per the CE Directive), including a
needs study, composition of the
training programme, and follow-up.
- Compilation of a large number of
illustrated spare parts catalogues.

Dans cette première partie de 2012, en plus des activités
habituelles de traduction, nous avons assuré un flux important
de traductions techniques vers le français, via notre partenaire
suédois Decator, membre du "Documentation group in
Europe".
Nos clients apprécient la qualité des documents réalisés,
provenant d’une maîtrise particulière des sujets abordés : les
traductions techniques sont confiées à des rédacteurs
techniques ayant connaissance et compréhension des
techniques et métiers traités.
In this first half of the year, in addition to our traditional
translation activities, we have translated a large number of
technical documents into French, via our Swedish partner
Decator, member of the "Documentation group in Europe".
Our customers appreciate the quality of the documents
produced, resulting from the specific expertise in the subjects
dealt with. Technical translations are
entrusted to technical writers with
knowledge and understanding of the
techniques and professions in question.
La gestion de données
Data management
Cette activité concerne la gestion globale de données
techniques en vue de constituer des documents techniques,
par exemple des catalogues produits. Il s'agit d'agréger et de
consolider (valider en valeur, forme et style) les données
pertinentes, de mettre en place les outils permettant la création
des manuscrits précédant la PAO et de préparer les bases de
données pour les outils d'édition des documents.
Ces travaux se font actuellement pour le compte d'un grand
constructeur de composants électriques.
This activity concerns global management of technical data
with a view to compiling technical documents, for example
product catalogues. Its aim is to aggregate and consolidate
(validate value, form and style) pertinent data, implement tools
allowing the creation of pre-computer-aided publishing
manuscripts, and prepare databases for document editing
tools.
This work is currently being carried out for a major electrical
components manufacturer.

Au carrefour entre le bureau d'études, le marketing et la
communication, la gestion de données orientée vers la publication
permet de fluidifier le transfert d'information aval. C'est aujourd'hui un
élément clef de la qualité et de la rentabilité du processus de

At the crossroads between a design office, marketing and
communication, publication-oriented data management is a means
of rendering downstream data transfer more fluid. Today it is a key
factor in the quality and profitability of the publication process within
major structures.
