Version Bez. MCE 93 Beschreibung . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Please take some time to read carefully through this product information before setting up the equipment. Application The MCE 93 is a large diaphragm condenser microphone designed for applications in the studio and on stage. Sound reproduction of the most subtle instruments is accurately reproduced due to the MCE 93’s high sensitivity, linear frequency response and low noise. The very natural sound of this microphone makes it ideal for classical or choral recordings on DAT machines. In live recordings the supplied EA 19/25 elasticated suspension eliminates unwanted footfall and mechanical noise. Operation When using the EA 19/25 elasticated suspension, carefully slide the microphone through the suspension with the XLR-connection end first to avoid damages to the wire mesh at the front end of the microphone. Setting up For stereo pick-up place two MCE 93’s in front of the choir or orchestra. The microphones should be used close together and turned to the left and right approximately 45° so that the angle between the two microphones is approximately 90° (X-Y arrangement). The distance between orchestra and the microphones determines the balance between direct and reverberant sound. The correct distance will be established during a sound check or test recording.
