Yellowknife Education District No. 1’s (YK1) hosted the annual Learning Fair Friday, May 2,
2014 at K’alemi Dene School. The judges were treated to some amazing projects from across
the City. The winners are:

The Winner of the Canada HistoryCertificate for the Best Use of Research and Visual Effects - Ella Kokelj (WMS), Chère Isabelle, connais-tu le canot ?
The City of Yellowknife presented two awards: Aurora Nind, “The Cookie Party” and Diana
Rockwell, “The Daughters of the Midnight Sun”.
There was also a special category for YK1 history projects as part of the 75th Anniversary
celebration. The top three winners were awarded prizes:
