THE LARGEST GATHERING OF FRENCH STUDENTS IN NEW ENGLAND
Merci to our Sponsors
On April 1st, during the 2016 celebration of Francophone countries and French
language, 2000 students from New England middle and high schools will gather at the
PCTA (Providence Career Technical Academy) in Providence, RI.
From 10 am to 1pm, students will enjoy a full program of fun with short movies, short
documentaries, and music with the group Swing directly from Ontario, and Sidy
Maiga, his musicians and dancers from Mali. The groups will play Canadian and
African rhythms and will invite students to join by stomping their feet and clapping
their hands.
Each class will be asked to represent a Francophone country and a choir of 2000
voices will interpret two francophone songs previously practiced in the French class.
Stay tuned, because this April Fools 2016 promises to be a day of treats and surprises!
