An initiative of the Consulate General of France in Boston Merci to our Partners GRANDE FETE DE LA FRANCOPHONIE DES ECOLES 2016 2000 students will raise their voice in French! THE LARGEST GATHERING OF FRENCH STUDENTS IN NEW ENGLAND Merci to our Sponsors On April 1st, during the 2016 celebration of Francophone countries and French language, 2000 students from New England middle and high schools will gather at the PCTA (Providence Career Technical Academy) in Providence, RI. From 10 am to 1pm, students will enjoy a full program of fun with short movies, short documentaries, and music with the group Swing directly from Ontario, and Sidy Maiga, his musicians and dancers from Mali. The groups will play Canadian and African rhythms and will invite students to join by stomping their feet and clapping their hands. Each class will be asked to represent a Francophone country and a choir of 2000 voices will interpret two francophone songs previously practiced in the French class.
