L’hôtel date des années 1730 et était à l’époque un hôtel modeste, « Le Grand Cerf ». En 1828, il fût rebaptisé
« Grand Saint-Hubert » et dans le 18ième et 19ième Siècle l’endroit fût fréquenté par les voyageurs des
diligences entre l’Angleterre, la Suisse, les Pays-Bas et Paris, dont le nom Hôtel de la Poste.
Het hotel ontstond rond 1730 als een bescheiden hotel “Grand Cerf”, werd in 1828 omgedoopt tot “Grand
Saint-Hubert” en in de 18e en 19e eeuw een overnachtingsplaats voor reizigers van de Postkoetsen tussen
Engeland, Zwitserland, Nederland, Parijs en werd toen Hotel de la Poste.
