Switch off your PC and separate it from the mains voltage, pull out the mains plug. • Connect the two non-looped-through 5.25" power plugs with the PC power supply. This is how the power supply is provided for all connected fans. • Connect the four looped-through 5.25" power plugs (marked "FAN1" and "FAN2") with your PC fans. Attention needs to be paid that there is only one output current of 0.35A on the connections of the speed controlling devices "FAN1" and "FAN4" (observe imprint of technical specifications on your fans). When connecting the speed controlling devices "FAN2" and , "FAN3" an output current of max. approx. 1A is provided. When you pay attention to these max. output currents, of course more than one fan can be operated on each fan connection. The two connections belonging to each speed controlling device (one brown and one white connection) are located directly behind the speed controlling device on the inside of the slide-in unit. • Secure all cables so that they cannot get into the fans of the PC. • Close the PC housing again. Operation • The temperature value in the bottom line of the LC display shows the temperature measured by the temperature sensor. The top temperature value shows the temperature at which the alarm sound will be triggered if this temperature is exceeded (can be set from approx. 40°C to 90°C). • By pressing the "REC" button it can be switched in succession between: - Maximal level memory ("MAX" appears on LC display) - Minimal level memory ("MIN" appears on LC display ) - Normal operation With maximal or minimal level display the bottom display line with show the highest or the lowest measured temperature. The top display line will show the highest or lowest set temperature above the alarm temperature adjuster (however, for the alarm sound the presently set level is relevant, which is shown in the top display line during normal operation) • The "°C/°F" button switches the temperature display between the two temperature units °C and °F. • Die "RESET" button erases the maximal and minimal level memory. • Via the control knob underneath the "°C/°F" button the temperature level can be set, during which the alarm sound will be triggered when it is exceeded. Regulate the control knob with e.g. a small screwdriver. • The "ON/OFF" button switches off the LC display and the temperature control via the temperature feeler. Doing this, the fan function is not switched off, the fan speed can still be adjusted with the four control knobs. Tips and Notes • If there is a battery compartment on the back of the LC display, it is without function, under no circumstances insert batteries. • Visit the Website of the manufacturer at: www.thermaltake.com Installation • Open the housing of your PC and take off the lid for the housing. • Remove a front cover of a 5.25" mounting shaft. Depending on the PC housing used, the removal of a metal front might also be necessary. In rare cases the entire front of the housing needs to be taken off to do this. • Screw the two fixing rails to the front part of the slide-in unit. • Connect the eight three-pole plugs with the accompanying 3 pole connection of the slide-in unit. The brown plugs 1-4 belong to the brown sockets 1-4, the white plugs to the white sockets (sequence is not important). Pay attention to the marking on the connections. • The speed output of a fan can be passed on to the main board, when you use the adapter cable included. Lüfteranschluss des Main-boards verbinden 3 Connection for fan with 3 pole plug Connect to the connection of the slide-in unit (one of the brown 3 pole plugs of the cable form is no longer needed) Connect with the 3 pole fan connection of the main board • If so desired you can screw a 3.5" hard disk to the fixing rails, so that the 5.25" slide-in unit does not get "lost". • Push the cables and the slide-in unit into the 5.25" mounting shaft of the PC housing and screw the slide-in unit tight. • Connect the looped-through power plug of the LC display with a 5.25" power connection of your PC power supply. • Place the temperature feeler e.g. on the side on the CPU cooler, fix it with a small strip of the special adhesive film included.
