Dear Parents and Families,
The Scholastic Festival du Livre is coming to our school!
Dates and times: December 7 from 9am to 7:30pm, December 8 from 9am to
7:30pm and December 9 from 9am to 1pm.
Location: Theatre of the École des Grands-Vents
We invite your entire family to participate by purchasing the latest and greatest in
children’s books. Did you know that for every $10 you spend at the Festival up to
$6 in books comes directly back to our school? Your support of this vital literacy
event is key in helping us obtain new books and resources for our library and
classrooms.
You’ll find hundreds of quality books at our Festival du Livre with a wide
assortment for all reading levels. Attached is a Festival du Livre flyer that provides
a preview of only a few of the many books available to purchase at our Festival.
The flyer also contains a special Family Event Draw (on December 6th) ballot that
students have to return to the school before December 6th. You could win $50 in
books – $25 for your family PLUS $25 for your child’s classroom!
Don’t forget to mark the Festival du Livre dates on your calendar! We look
forward to seeing you during our Scholastic Festival du Livre and thank you, in
advance, for supporting this great literacy event. Mostly, thank you for believing in
books and the importance reading has on child’s future.
We also need volunteers for the event, if you are interested, please contact me by
email at [email protected].
Sincerely,
Mélany Otis
