Merci de votre courriel a~ elle me I'a lransmis.car je dirige Ie programme de diploma tie publique de
l'Ambassade.
Je voulais simplement vous faire savoir que Ie Ministre et notre Ambassadeur ont immensement apprecie votre
concert, tous deux m'ont demande de vous adresser leurs remerciements, ainsi qu'a vos musiciens. Le Ministre a
notamment evoque la haute qualite de votre prestation, et sa presentation ainsi que son contenu, pleins d'egards
pour les Australiens. Malheureusement Ie Ministre avait un autre engagement fixe a 10h30, apres quoi il devait
immediatement se rendre a Bullecourt. Son depart precipite du marche couvert a 10h30 n'aurait pu etre evite. Le
Ministre s'est ensuite exprime a plusieurs reprises pour expliquer a quel point iI avait apprecie Ie concert, et qu'iI
regreUait de n'avoir malheureusement pas pu rester jusqu'a la fin.
Pourriez-vous avoir la gentillesse de bien vouloir transmettre nos plus since res remerciemenls a toules celles et tous
ceux qui se sont impliques dans la preparation de ce concert? Nous souhaiterions vivement rester en contact et nous
vous saurions gre de bien vouloir nous tenir informes des dates des autres concerts venir.

'activities this year, both at the Australian Memorial and in the town of Villers Bretonneux. The warmth of
the welcome extended by the Bretonvillois is greatly appreciated by all Australians, both officials and
pilgrims who travel such distances to be present on the Western Front on this most important of days.
The imperatives of the Minister's program unfortunately required him and the official party to leave
before the conclusion of the excellent concert by the Amiens Brass Band. Both the minister and I much
appreciated Mr Eric Brisse's highly original program and the talented performance of his musicians., My
staff will work with yours to ensure that we minimise the risk of this occurring again in future years.
