Pour les amoureux de la montagne ! Passez
deux semaines en altitude entre les Pyrénées
Atlantiques et l’Aragon.
L’Espace Pourtalet est un centre crée en
partenariat entre le GECT, le département
français des Pyrénées Atlantiques et la Région
espagnole d’Aragon. Cette année Concordia
organise un chantier afin de renforcer les liens
transfrontaliers dans cette région montagneuse.
L’Espace Pourtalet est situé sur le col du
Pourtalet, immergé dans le magnifique paysage
pyrénéen. Une occasion exceptionnelle pour
découvrir la vie en montagne et rencontrer ses
habitants des deux côtés de la frontière.
Dans le cadre des Journées du Patrimoine la fin
de semaine du 17 et 18 septembre, le col du
Pourtalet va s’animer autours de temps
d’animation sur la question de la citoyenneté et
de la valorisation du patrimoine culturel
transfrontalier auquel vous allez participer.
Vous serez en charge de l’idée à la réalisation
de moments forts : atelier d’animation sur la
citoyenneté, action de nettoyage pour créer une
statut Land Art avec les objets récoltés,
réalisation de panneau de sensibilisation,
randonnée à thème. Vous allez travailler à
imaginer et créer ces moments forts pour tous
les acteurs transfrontaliers à destination des
randonneurs, des touristes et de la population
locale.
For mountain lovers ! Spend two weeks in altitude
between the Pyrenees Atlantique and Aragon regions.
Espace Pourtalet is a resource center created in order
to develop mountain tourism in a partnership between
the GECT, the French Pyrénées Atlantiques county
and the Spanish Aragon region. This year Concordia
organizes a work camp in order to improve the trans
boundary links in this mountain area. The Espace
Pourtalet is located on the top of the Col du Pourtalet,
surrounded by the magnificent Pyrenees Mountains. It
is a unique opportunity to experience life in the
mountains and meet its people from both sides of the
border.
Within the framework of the National Heritage Days on
September 17th&18th, you will be in charge of
organising several activities on the theme ‘citizenship’
and valorization of cross-border cultural heritage.
You will build workshops on cross-border citizenship,
cleaning the area and use the recycled material found
to create a Land Art statue, create some trekking
paths with special themes and so on.
From imagining it to realizing it, all will be your task, on
behalf of the several partners of the project on each
side of the border and to benefit to the local
population, tourists and trekkers.

En dur dans le GECT sur le lieu des travaux.
Le chantier est à 1600 m d’altitude, accessible
en voiture.
Conditions de vie collective sommaires et en
montagne équipez-vous contre le froid et la
pluie. Le lieu de vie et la cuisine seront en dur,
équipés d’électricité et eau courante.
Vous partagerez les différentes tâches
collectives et préparerez les repas ensemble.
You will be hosted at the GECT on the work place
inside the edifice.
The site is at 1600 m. of altitude and it is accessible by
car.
Living conditions in the collectivity are basic as you will
be in the mountain all week, but you’ll have access to
a building with water and electricity. Equip yourself
against the cold and rain.
You will share the various collective tasks and prepare
meals together.
Le col du Pourtalet est situé à 30 km d’Eaux
Bonnes et à 80 km au sud de Pau, sur la
frontière espagnole.
The Col du Pourtalet is located 30 km south of Eaux
Bonnes city and at 80 km south of the town of Pau,
straight on the Spanish border.
Vous serez en pleine montagne dans le cadre
des travaux et vous dormirez sur place.
You'll be in the mountains for the renovation work and
you will sleep on site.
Randonnée, initiation à l’escalade et découverte
des traditions locales des deux côtés de la
montagne seront les principales activités de
loisirs proposées.
Hiking, rock-climbing initiation and discovery of local
traditions will be the main leisure activities offered.
Apportez un duvet 0 degrés, des vêtements très
chauds et contre la pluie et d’autres très légers,
des chaussures de randonnée de montagne,
spray anti moustiques, lampe torche, piles et
crème solaire et maillot de bain.
Bring a 0 degrees sleeping bag, both very warm and
lightweight clothes as well as rain gear, mountain
hiking shoes, mosquito repellent, flashlight, batteries,
sunscreen and swimsuit. A backpack is necessary to
go up and down the mountain every day. Speaking
French and Spanish is an asset. If you want, you can
also bring musical instruments, games, recipes,
photos and/or specialties from your country or region.
Un sac à dos est nécessaire afin de monter et
descendre la montagne au quotidien.
Parler Français et Espagnol serait un plus.
Foreigners belonging to the European Union must
bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health
Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case,
bring their insurance certificate.
If health issues happen on the project, volunteers will
have to pay for it, and then be reimbursed once back
in their home country.
