PRESS RELEASE Bank of Nanjing and BNP Paribas Personal Finance deepen their collaboration Paris, September 24th. As part of the relationship that binds BNP Paribas and Bank of Nanjing, BNP Paribas Personal Finance has just consolidated its ties with Bank of Nanjing through a cooperation agreement signed June 13th and which is designed to structure the development of its consumer finance business in China. BNP Paribas Personal Finance and Bank of Nanjing, which have been working together since October 2005, created a Consumer Finance and Credit Card Center (CFCCC) within the bank in June 2010. Within BNP Paribas Personal Finance, the CFCCC's development is monitored by the "Personal Finance Inside" region, which brings together BNP Paribas Personal Finance's consumer finance expertise within the BNP Paribas Group and its alliances in China, Morocco, Poland, Serbia, Tunisia, Turkey and Ukraine. For Thierry Laborde, Managing Director of BNP Paribas Personal Finance: "We were both determined to reach an agreement that would be win‐win for both parties and we achieved this: BNP Paribas Personal Finance provides its know‐how in product development and platform industrialisation and its credit application scoring and fraud detection expertise. Bank of Nanjing guarantees access to funding and is developing the business through its branches network and its commercial partnerships, in a market with high growth potential". The Consumer Finance and Credit Card Center benefits from Bank of Nanjing's sources of liquidity and draws on its network, infrastructures and support functions to sell an increasingly wide range of products, which includes car loans, personal loans and cards. Key figures:  Bank of Nanjing has operations in one of the wealthiest provinces in China, around the Yangtze delta, which has 175 million inhabitants. It has continued its expansion as far as Shanghai and Beijing. In 2013, its overall geographical footprint covered 10 major cities.  At the end of June 2013, its loans production stood at €328 million, rising by 97% compared to 2013;  Outstandings have multiplied by 15 in a little over 3 years and the ambition for 2020 is to achieve 27% average annual growth in outstandings; Despite major investments in developing the product range and geographical expansion, the business is already profitable. Bank of Nanjing & BNP Paribas Bank of Nanjing is BNP Paribas' strategic partner in China in retail and commercial banking. Both banks cooperate in many areas, including consumer finance, trade finance, and providing banking services for international corporates in China.”
