ENS Cachan - 61 avenue du Président Wilson 94230 Cachan CONFÉRENCES DU DÉPARTEMENT DE PHYSIQUE Auditorium Chemla à 13h15 Mardi 29 novembre 2016 Bérengère ABOU Laboratoire Matière et Systèmes Complexes, UMR CNRS 7057 Université Paris Diderot, France Particle tracking in complex materials Résumé : I will give three examples of particle tracking in complex materials: - Particle tracking microrheology in the beetle secretion (adhesion mechanism in insects) - Particle tracking microrheology in the jellyfish (morphogenesis) - Dynamical heterogeneities in dense colloids (glass transition) Left: micrometric secretion droplets from the beetle, spread on a glass slide. The microneedle is used to collect the secretion using capillary effects. Right: dense thermosensitive colloids below the glass transition.
