French. Its purpose was to practice using new vocabulary in both written and oral tasks.

Notre classe voyage à Paris! During our class trip to Paris, we will stay at the Hotel du
Globe. You will have to choose a roommate for the week we are there. Follow the steps
below to help you select the best match for you.
1. Using the model on p. 57- ex. C in your book, compose your announcement (a
self description for your classmates to listen to), record it, and post it on
Voiceboard by noon on Friday, September 14 (Log in to MyGateway, click on
Assignments, and go to assignment 10). Be sure to give a detailed description of
yourself using as much of the new vocabulary as possible.
2. Select four of your classmates’ messages and listen to them.
3. Fill in the chart below with your notes on each message.
4. Choose the person who is the best fit for you and write a short paragraph
describing him/her. Turn in the following page on Monday, September 17.
