Ms. No. 84, dated 8th July 2005) NOTIFICATION The Lieutenant-Governor, Pondicherry hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Rules and Regulations/Guidelines for the Award of Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Financial Assistance to the Students Studying in the Medical and Engineering Courses issued vide G.O. Ms. No. 129, dated 17th October 2003 of the Chief Secretariat (Education), Pondicherry, namely :— AMENDMENT 1. Amendment of rule-1.—In the said rules, for rule 1, the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely :— “1. General .— (1) In order that no meritorious student is prevented on grounds of financial constraint from an academic career in the field of Medical/Engineering, the Government of Pondicherry decided to start a Financial Assistance Scheme viz., Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Financial Assistance to the Students Studying Medical and Engineering Courses. (2) This scheme is also extended to the students of B.Ed.,/D.T.Ed., Courses sponsored by the CENTAC and MHRD sponsored seats under States quota from the academic year 2004-05.” 776 LA GAZETTE DE L’ETAT 2. Amendment of rule-IV.—For rule-IV, the following shall be substituted, namely :— “The applications in the prescribed form as in Annexure-I, will be called for from the eligible students belonging to this Union Territory of Pondicherry undergoing the first year Medical Course, the first year/II year in respect of lateral entry in the Engineering Course, B.Ed. Course and [26 July 2005 D.T.Ed. Course who have been selected through CENTAC and from the students selected under MHRD sponsored seats meant for other States quota in India. No. 102/2005/Lab./AIL/J, dated 13th July 2005) NOTIFICATION Whereas the Government is of the opinion that an industrial dispute has arisen between the management of M/s. Pondicherry Co-operative Sugar Mills, Lingareddipalayam, Pondicherry and the Pondicherry Co-operative Sugar Mills Staff Welfare Union, Lingareddipalayam, Pondicherry over fixation of seniority of 5 persons in respect of the matter mentioned in the annexure to this order; And whereas in the opinion of the Government, it is necessary to refer the said dispute for adjudication; Now, therefore, by virtue of the authority delegated vide G.O.Ms. No. 20/91/Lab., dated 23-5-1991 of the Labour Department, Pondicherry to exercise the powers conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act XIV of 1947), read with first proviso of section 10 (1) of the Act, it is hereby directed by Secretary to Government (Labour) that the said dispute be referred to the Labour Court, Pondicherry for adjudication. The Labour Court, shall submit the award within 3 months from the date 777 of issue of reference as stipulated under sub-section (2-A) of section 10 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 and in accordance with rule 10-B of the Industrial Disputes (Central) Rules, 1957. The party raising the dispute shall file a statement of claim complete with relevant documents, list of reliances and witnesses to the Labour Court, within 15 days of the receipt of the order of reference and also forward a copy of such statement to each one of the opposite parties involved in the dispute.
