Silvio Denz (Ch. Faugères à Saint-Emilion) a acquis ce domaine en 2005.
Son savoir-faire en matière de grands vins profite également à ce cru de
30 ha, qui livre un 2010 remarquable, passé tout près du coup de cœur
(l’homme d’affaires suisse pourra se « consoler » avec son Ch. Chambrun
2010 en lalande-de-pomerol). Une robe pourpre ourlée de reflets
violines habille ce vin généreusement fruité, aux accents de merlot bien
mûr, agrémenté d’élégantes nuances boisées et d’une touche de cuir.
Rond, charnu, chaleureux, tapissé de tanins tendres et fins, le palais
prolonge l’olfaction et s’étire en une longue finale aux tonalités grillées.
Bien dans son appellation et dans son millésime, ce vin donnera le
meilleur de lui-même après trois ou quatre ans de garde.

The 2010 Cap de Faugeres, a blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc
and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon from one of the better sections of the
Cotes de Castillon known as Sainte-Colombe, was bottled unfined and
unfiltered by consultant Michel Rolland. It tips the scales at 14.5%
alcohol and displays kirsch, black currant, licorice and smoky
charcoal/barbecue notes. Medium to full-bodied, lush and very sexy
already, this sleeper of the vintage is soft enough to be drunk now or can
be cellared for up to a decade. Bravo!

Elegant nose with loads of dark fruit, licorice and crushed chalk. Fullbodied and wonderfully textured on the palate with well-dosed fine
tannins and attractive red fruit. Enjoyable long finish. Try in 2015.

Plump and enticing, with a mouthwatering anise note that pulls you in
quickly before delivering waves of blueberry, açaí berry and plum fruit,
followed by bouncy spice and floral notes that add lift and length to the
