FERALP “Museum of Railway Transport across the Alps” Bussoleno The "Museum of Railway Transport across the Alps" is realized by the Province of Turin on a project of Architects Andrea and Ugo Bruno and will be operated in collaboration with the Regional Director of the Company Trenitalia / FS and the Association "Feralpi Team". It is a "live" museum, where visitors can see the restoration of the rolling stocks. Except for the temporary use historical trains, there are hospitalized in Bussoleno the steam locomotives 940041, 743283, 640143; locomotives with continuous current E 424075, E 428058, E 626287, E 636082, a carriage group 36000, a snowplough wagon Vnx 806, a VIR wagon, a luggage van, a auto-motor and so on. In accordance with the Piedmontese Railway Museum, Bussoleno then hosts steam locomotive 422,009 and will be one of poles of the System of railway Museums of Piedmont, in synergy with the other similar associations (AMFP, CAMFP, GATT, AIMUN). The "Feralp Team" (Association of Friends of the Museum of Railway Transport across the Alps) of Bussoleno, established in 1999, has already over one hundred and fifty members. It has a triple action of voluntary cultural service and contributes to the management of the museum. - In WORKSHOP, a group of volunteers restored the locomotive with continuous current E626287; performs maintenance operations at various historical and other rolling stocks and should find materials. - The Documentation Centre collects and catalogs documents (books, magazines, drawings, photographs, printed matters, small objects ...) and has produced a permanent exhibition. - Group FERMODELLISMO completes a large plastic of railway, donated to the museum, other exhibits other plactics, models and parts of special equipment, predisposing thier documentation.
